Save the date for an upcoming mending workshop at the Recology Store nearest you to save you money, reduce waste, and minimize the demand for new products! Bring an item you’d like to repair, and we’ll provide the supplies and guidance for free:

Magazines are often printed on glossy paper, which can make disposal confusing. Magazines are recyclable! Be sure to remove any plastic inserts, samples, or stickers before placing them in your recycling bin to help keep materials clean and decrease contamination.

As we anticipate the launch of our new Maple Valley Recology Store, we are continuing to host pop-up events. On Friday, May 22nd, May 29th, and June 6th, Maple Valley residents can drop off limited quantities of the following hard-to-recycle items: batteries, fluorescent bulbs, textiles, books, electronics, small appliances, Styrofoam, and small propane canisters. Please note: we will not accept any other hard-to-recycle items beyond those listed.
