Day 2: Operation PT Side Quest.

I have 7+ years of experience across administrative support, executive assistance, HR, and operations.

Apparently I’ve entered my Side Quest Era 😂

I have a goal I want to hit over the next few months, and instead of sitting around wondering how I’m going to make it happen, I decided to start creating more options for myself.

So tonight I applied for 3 part-time remote positions that I can potentially work around my regular full-time job.

Not quitting my job.
Not making some dramatic life announcement. 😂

Just figuring out how to bring in some additional income while still working toward the bigger goals I have for myself and my family.

And actually... I’m kind of excited about it.

There’s something empowering about realizing that when the numbers aren’t numbering the way you want them to, you don't necessarily have to lower the goal.

Sometimes you just have to find another way to fund it. 💅🏼

Ideally something flexible that I can work evenings and/or weekends. I have years of experience in executive support, administration, HR, operations, invoicing, collections, payroll, inventory and all the other random things you somehow learn when your job becomes “Meg will figure it out.” 😂

And honestly? I was going to say yes because I genuinely align with the brand, the product and their mission.

So I messaged them back and told them exactly WHY I was excited about it.

Their response?

“Send over your rates and info, we’ll keep them on file.”

UMMMMM. 🤯🥹

So I did.

Not because I have a massive following.
Not because every Reel & post gets thousands of views.
Not because I waited until I felt “ready.”

I just started treating what I create like it has value.

Will it turn into a paid UGC partnership? Who knows.

But my rates are officially sitting in a brand’s creator file because THEY ASKED FOR THEM.

And that feels like a pretty damn cool place to start. 🥹🙌🏻💗

And learning enough HTML to completely redesign a webpage but somehow still needing to Google how to convert a PDF in 2026.

Also… Tom was our first internet friend and honestly the least problematic one we ever had. 😂

Mine would've absolutely been something unnecessarily dramatic because apparently my 20s were a music video. 💀

You can have the BEST reel idea in the world… but if the first few seconds don’t make someone stop scrolling, they’re probably never going to see it. 😩

And coming up with a good hook every single time you post? Yeahhhh… that gets exhausting and it’s time consuming.
