If you only do one thing to prep for your tan, make it this: exfoliate at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Exfoliating removes dead skin cells, leftover self-tanner, dry patches, and product buildup that can prevent your spray tan from developing evenly. Think of it as creating a smooth, fresh canvas for your tan.

When you exfoliate properly:
🩷 Your tan applies more evenly.
🤎 It develops more naturally.
🩷 It fades more evenly.
🤎 It lasts longer.

My best tips:
• Exfoliate with an exfoliating mitt 24+ hours before your appointment.
• Pay extra attention to dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists.
• Avoid body washes or scrubs with oils—they leave behind a barrier that can affect how your tan develops.

A little prep goes a long way, and it truly makes all the difference between a good tan and a great one. 🤍

Once you’ve rinsed and your tan has fully developed, moisturizing becomes your BEST friend. Think of your tan as sitting on the top layer of your skin… and when your skin is dry, it sheds faster (aka your glow fades quicker 👋🏼).

Here’s how to keep your tan looking fresh + even:

• Moisturize at least 1–2x daily (yes, every day!)
• Use a fragrance-free, gentle lotion to avoid patchiness
• Pay extra attention to dry areas like hands, elbows, knees, and ankles
• Drink your water 💧 (hydration starts from within too!)
