A new chapter starts today. 🤍

It’s officially my first day in UTA’s RN-to-FNP program! I don’t know whether to be excited, cry, or do both at the same time.

This is such a big step for me personally and for everything I hope to continue building at Aligné. I’m so excited for all the knowledge and possibilities ahead!

But first, let’s discuss this picture…

I asked ChatGPT to turn it into a “First Day of School” photo, and apparently me sitting in bed wasn’t appropriate… but leaving me with no makeup, fuzzy hair, and my “it’s almost that time of the month” pimples on full display was perfectly acceptable. 😒

13 days post-ONE IPL treatment🤍

JUST 13 days!! And OH. MY. GOODNESS.

Fall is coming! And y’all know what that means…..

Yes, pumpkin spice. 😂 But more importantly, LASER SEASON!!!

Look at the difference in this beauty's pigmentation!

And the best part? She isn’t even finished shedding yet. You can still see a teeny tiny bit of "peppered” pigment hanging on, which means her skin is still clearing it.

IPL targets unwanted brown pigment from sun damage and photodamage. That pigment absorbs the light energy, darkens, comes to the surface, and gradually flakes away over the days following treatment.

One treatment can make a beautiful difference, but a series is typically recommended for more comprehensive correction, especially when we’re dealing with years of accumulated sun damage.

And with less sun exposure during the fall and winter months, we’re heading into the PERFECT time to start.

My first laser season at Aligné is officially here, and after seeing what ONE IPL treatment can do in just 13 days… I am SO excited for what’s coming.

A little immediate PiXel8 tightening moment. 🤍

This is STRAIGHT off the treatment bed after her very first session.

Look at the lower cheek, the lines around her mouth, and the beginning of that little lift through the lower face!

And while I LOVE seeing that immediate tissue contraction, this is not her final result. Not even close. PiXel8 creates controlled stimulation below the surface of the skin, which signals the body to begin producing new collagen and elastin.

So why is a series of three treatments recommended?

Because collagen remodeling is cumulative.

The first treatment starts the process. The second builds on the response already created. The third provides another round of stimulation to help maximize the remodeling process.

It’s not that one treatment does nothing. Clearly. 😂 But the goal is not a temporary “that looks a little better” moment. The goal is meaningful improvement in laxity, fine lines, texture, and overall skin quality that continues developing over time.

I may or may not have driven an hour and a half through pouring rain just to order some—and learn more about their post-treatment and brightening serums. 😂
