For all of you who are excited about the new YL Savvy chemical free mineral make up line, here is some great information from one of our team on how to choose the right Savvy minerals foundation for your skin tone!

HOW TO SELECT THE RIGHT SAVVY MINERALS FOUNDATION FOR YOUR SKIN TONE:

Here are the highlight points that Melissa Poepping gave us for color matching:

1. Check Your Veins — Push your sleeves up and look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. Are they blue or green? If they look more blue, you likely have cool undertones. If the veins look greenish, you’re warm.

2. The Jewelry Trick — Think about whether you look better in silver or gold jewelry Typically, girls with cool undertones look better in silver and platinum metals, and warm-toned women look better in gold.

3. The Neutral Test — Think about what neutral shades flatter you best. Does your skin, eyes, and face look better in bright white and black hues, or ivory, off-whites, and brown/tan shades? The former means you’re probably cool-toned, and the latter, warm.

4. Eye and Hair Color — Your natural eye and hair colors can help figure out your coloring. Customarily, cool people have eyes that are blue, gray, or green and have blond, brown, or black hair with blue, silver, violet and ash undertones. Conversely, warm-toned women usually have brown, amber, or hazel eyes with strawberry blond, red, brown, or black hair. Their hair tends to have gold, red, orange, or yellow undertones.

5. The Sun’s Effects — When you’re out in the sun, does your skin turn a golden-brown, or does it burn and turn pink first? If you fit into the former category, you’re warm-toned, while cool tones tend to burn.

NOTE: Melissa mentioned over and over that mineral makeup is very forgiving and blends very easily with its partner colors. If you tend to change color tone from summer to winter like most, consider purchasing #1 and #3 in either Cool, Warm, or Dark skin tone. This way you can play with mixing the two shades to perfectly match your skin according to the season.

I love these! I keep them in my Luci Bag for a quick afternoon boost!

Do you have a sore throat? The menthol in Thieves® cough drops helps soothe sore throats, relieve coughs, and cool nasal passages. With naturally derived ingredients and no processed sugar, dyes, artificial flavors, or preservatives, these cough drops are easy to take anywhere you may need relief!

For an extra immune boost, try adding two drops of Oregano Vitality™ and 2 drops of Thieves Vitality™ in a veggie capsule to support a support a healthy immune system. Veggie capsules are my preferred way to ingest these powerful oils, but you can also add them to your Ningxia Red or water.

Oregano Vitality:
· Supports a healthy lifestyle regimen.
· Cleansing for the digestive system.
· Has antioxidant properties
· Supports the immune system

Thieves Vitality:
- Supports a healthy immune function.

- May contribute to overall wellness when taken as a dietary supplement.

- Contains Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil, which may help support a healthy respiratory system when taken as a dietary supplement.

- Includes the naturally occurring constituent eugenol from Clove and Cinnamon.

To prevent the "oil burps" try taking your capsule with a fatty drink like almond milk. You can also add a few drops of carrier oil to the capsule or simply follow the capsule with a 1/2 Tablespoon of coconut oil. Essential oils are attracted to fat, so they sit better in your stomach with another fatty substance.

These three are a powerhouse for the upcoming change of season!

Cole Woolley, PhD - Exploring Essential Oils

The Aroma of an Essential Oil is Like an Orchestra Playing a Symphony

Essential oils are a complex blend of natural molecules. Plants produce essential oil molecules using the intelligent instructions possessed in their inherited DNA. Lavender plants produce lavender oil, while peppermint plants produce peppermint oil. Each essential oil contains a natural blend of 100-300 unique molecules. The aroma of lavender essential oil is a natural blend of 150 or so essential oil molecules.

“Exploring Essential Oils” by Cole L. Woolley, PhD

Essential oil molecules can be organized into 3 major groups: Light Notes, Medium Notes, and Heavy Notes. These 3 major groups can be described by their aroma, their evaporation rate, their chemistry, and their retention on moist surfaces. From a chemistry standpoint the Light Notes = Monoterpene molecules, the Medium Notes = Oxygenated Monoterpene molecules, and the Heavy Notes = Sesquiterpene and Oxygenated Sesquiterpene molecules. My new book, Exploring Essential Oils, will describe each of these groups in detail.

An orchestra is composed of many different musical instruments. Some musical instruments are dominant in number like the violin section. There may be only one piccolo player and only one chimes player. There are usually several players of the trumpet, trombone, and French horn. Playing a symphony composed by Bach, Beethoven, or Sibelius may require 150 musicians playing 40-50 musical instruments. The musical conductor orchestrates the instruments to blend into one harmonious sound.

An essential oil is similar to a large orchestra composed of many musical instruments. Some molecules are more abundant than others. Some molecules create the dominant aromas similar to the dominant sound of violins. Some essential oil molecules are not very abundant, similar to the playing of one piccolo or one double bass fiddle. The aroma of 150 different molecules produces the “floral, herbal, flowery, sweet” aroma combination so characteristic of lavender essential oil. The DNA of the lavender plant, similar to the conductor of the orchestra, controls the complex essential oil production.

In my new book, Exploring Essential Oils, I have 6 chapters describing the chemistry, aromas, and characteristics of essential oil molecules. Learn how to share your essential oil experiences with confidence. There is a glossary of terms for every chapter. It is a training book containing homework activities referred to as “Dr. Woolley Challenges.”

Playing Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is like geranium essential oil.

I am sure we all know how fun it is trying to feed toddlers! ...NOT! Kids, but toddlers in general, can sometimes make meals or snack time difficult for parents, but these Lemon Vitality™ Yogurt Bites are perfect for small hands and delicious! Plus, they are a fun snack that can also bring some extra calcium, iron, and fat into their diet. They are easy to make and have only a few easy ingredients!

Ingredients:
• 1 cup organic whole kefir (yogurt will work, too)
• 2 teaspoons raw honey (or sweetener of choice, or none at all!)
• 2 drops Lemon Vitality essential oil
• Diced blueberries and strawberries

Directions:
• Mix the first three ingredients together in a bowl.
• Gently mix in the blueberries and strawberries.
• Poor into ice cube trays or form into balls on a cookie sheet.
• Freeze for several hours or overnight.
• Serve on a small plate or directly into little hands!

Helpful hints:
• If you use flavored yogurt or kefir, you won’t need to add any additional sweetener. If your yogurt is sweetened, check the label and make sure it is sweetened from a natural source like fruit, not high-fructose corn syrup or artificial sweetener. Plain kefir and yogurt can be sour, and some prefer to sweeten it up a little with something natural like honey, but this is optional.

THIS STORY RIGHT HERE IS WHY I LOVE THIS COMPANY !! 😍❤💚❤😍

of you are probably wondering why millions of people across the US are rejoicing over a little bottle of oil named Valor, so here's the scoop......

3 years ago, Young Living hit a major . The company couldn't keep up with the 150% growth per year. The pressure was on! Our company that prides itself on quality and Potency was put to the test !!

this growth the mom and pop partner farm we used to get black spruce from couldn't keep up with the demand. 😭 YL had to find another source that met our high standards !!

Living found a farm large enough that it would have put Valor back on the shelves. But when tested, the oil came back within the "good" limits but it wasn't "excellent". So Young Living passed on it and continued to search. When they couldn't find an existing farm that met our standards Gary Young decided to plow the field so to speak. He invested millions of dollars to buy a huge acreage of black spruce up in Northern Canada. They built a distillery and then a water filtration system to ensure the water for distilling was pure. It worked!! Our farm in Canada is magnificently and Northern Black Spruce is producing great oils !!

, blue tansy had a bad season and Valor was put on hold again. 😭 The test of their character continued....

was then found to be close to becoming an endangered species so the search started for an oil that would be sustainable but also have the same qualities as rosewood. Something that would maintain the same properties so Valor would have the same benefits. Young Living found a farm to partner with that provides camphor wood oil which is an excellent replacement for Rosewood. Even the most educated can't tell them apart !!

now, FINALLY it's back! 😍😍😍But my favorite part, Young Living passed their purity test !!

has lost approximately $100,000,000 by not having Valor available for sale. But NEVER compromises quality, purity or sustainability to make a buck. They would rather be out of stock than have subpar products for their members. 🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻 Who's feeling really good about picking YL over the competitors!!

here we are, almost two years later and the oil that gives people the strength, confidence, courage, quiet nights of sleep, and supports the body's ability to align itself is now back. For many, this oil is the difference between being alive and LIVING !!

🌱👍👍👍
