Dip nails are everywhere—but have you ever stopped to think about how that powder is being used?

Dip powder itself isn’t necessarily the problem. Sanitation and application practices are what matter.

When multiple clients dip their fingers directly into the same container, or previously used powder is returned to the original jar, there is a potential for cross-contamination if proper infection-control procedures aren’t being followed.

And when we’re working around nails, cuticles and skin—where tiny cuts or openings can happen—sanitation matters. Bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms are not something Michelle is willing to gamble with. 🦠

That’s one reason Michelle prefers custom-mixed acrylic at Wildheart.

Your acrylic is prepared specifically for your appointment. Michelle can customize the color, glitter, glow, finish and other details while controlling exactly what product is being used for your service.

No communal dipping required.

And just to be clear: this doesn’t mean every dip service is unsanitary. There are sanitary ways for trained professionals to apply dip powder without clients sharing the same product.

Michelle simply prefers a system that gives her more control over sanitation, quality and customization.
