Earthaus Plaster

| Wonder, awe, and appreciation for the presence of nature ~ inside. Witnessing the dance of sunlight and lime plaster. It’s a beautiful thing✨

Moody, textural plastercraft and photography by Erma Duran 👏✨

| New York City designers Lex & Hudson understood the assignment🩶

“We often use natural materials with history and functionality. Tadelakt, used in this bathroom, is an ancient plastering technique that initially was used to waterproof cisterns and store drinking water. It was later used for decorative purposes on exteriors of royal buildings and interiors of bathrooms because of its water-repellent quality. We love the texture and movement it gives and the patina that develops over time.”

Natural textures become warmth ~ Earthen materials become presence ~ Beauty becomes home.

| Material and craft, working together🤍 Lime plaster comes alive in relationship— to the artisan’s hand, to light, and to the architecture that surrounds it. Minerals transformed through the craft of Painteexo Atelie into a room filled with extraordinary depth, texture, color, and quiet beauty.
