My EMPRESS Elite client has a compromised hairline due to the wearing of tight wigs.

She would come every 3months for her routine hair maintenance and she would always express interest in wearing her own hair, which she hasn’t done in 25 years.

Due to her compromised hairline, that proved quite challenging.
Keeping your hair covered and solely relying on additions can cause hair follicles to be stressed and little to no oxygen to the scalp.

During a previous session we discussed a pixie cut and the ease and manageability of a relaxer.

She thought about it for months and surprised me with “Nykole, I’m ready to do it.”

This is my client of over 10 years Lovenska. She has a stress spot that she twirls and picks at, to help her relieve stress.
This has been a concern of ours for years, but this is the worst it has ever been.

At this visit I was unable to save her length by doing a U or V shaped haircut..I had to make it all even to the breakage (stress spot).

I highlight this video to show the importance of a consultation so the client can have a complete understanding of my recommendations.

This is a new guest who had not had professional services in years.
Her hair was thoroughly dehydrated, ends were brittle, and severe breakage mid shaft to ends, she felt hopeless. Expressing interest to focus on her hair health and start her intentional hair journey, the only option was to cut several inches of “dead” hair off and give her a new look.

She trusted me 100% to choose the cut and style that would be suitable for her face. She kept her eyes closed the whole time.
