What to do to stay well when everyone is getting sick?
I know this is a long video so he's the tldr (tldw?):
1- Wear a mask and wash your hands if you know you will be in large crowds or exposed to someone who is sick.
2- As soon as you get home, change clothes. Bathe if you can, but at least change and wash your hands.
3- Put on a Simmer Pot! The v***r from these herbs will help kill bacteria in the air and in your sinuses.
4- Support your immune system with our Sage, Echinacea, Bee Balm Herbal Tonic as a preventative medicine and immunostimulant.
5- If you start to feel symptoms, follow up with our Throat Soothing Honey. You can take a spoonful by mouth, or enjoy it in some tea!

In the mix of summer heat, a busy garden season, and market rushes (we've done 6 in the last 2 weeks 💀) I let our best kept secret for gut health sell out midway through the many markets.
But it's back in stock, and we're back at Hub City Farmers' Market this weekend!

I am so ready for fall, and we're gearing up for it with lots of herbal teas!
We always have a selection of single herb teas, but in the same style of our Infused Vinegars and Green Gardens Seasoning Blend, I've started putting together a tea blend for each season, based around what's fresh on the farm!
With our roselle hibiscus bushes producing like crazy and roses blooming again due to the recent rains, it only made sense to end summer with something floral 🌺
These two make a delicious pairing that I added some honeysuckle that we collected at the beginning of summer to, making it the perfect flavor to look back on the season as we get ready for fall flavors!

Y'all know I've decided to feature one special drink for the first weekend of every month, and this month it's an all time favorite. The Sage Berry Breeze!!
Almost every weekend I hear "what's the one drink I got from you that time? That blackberry with sage." And I know exactly what they're talking about 😂
This blackberry mule is sweet and spicy, rounded off with a sage and blackberry garish that infuses to give a warm herbaceous flavor to the drink.

Where to shop The At Home Apothecary this September 🍁🍎🎃
As always, you can also shop online, in person at purposeandplanet , and we'll be opening our farmstand for in person shopping so so soon!!
I've been battling with the inauthenticity that social media loves to garner through constant trends or "algorithm worthy" content, and have decided to create our own little space outside of the algorithm!
This regularly updated "newsletter" will be live, fresh, and shoppable 24/7, with no algorithm or buzz worthy trends. Just good, holistic, farm grown foods and herbal remedies, all produced by the hands that make The At Home Apothecary happen!
My hope is that this newsletter can become the first place you'll go when looking for what we've been creating. It's got all of our fresh produce, new remedies, restocks, and sales that are directly shoppable from the newsletter webpage, as well as photos, videos, blog posts, and links to some of the other things we've been working on.
Because of the way the newsletter works, it will truly be the most up-to-date information available. When we list something online, or announce classes/workshops, they will immediately populate to the newsletter without any extra posting on social media or sending out emails!
This doesn't mean I'm leaving social media all together- I'm just not going to continue trying to create content that is "algorithm worthy". I've run this business, and had a presence on social media for 9.5 years now, and it's starting to feel like I'm working for the algorithm, instead of for our farm and the larger mission behind the Apothecary. So this new space is all about us, and I can't wait for you to join us there!
