The Living Room Wellness Center
A radically inclusive healing space. Come as you are. Healing begins with safety. Living rooms are often the center of the home. It is a place for growing.
The place where we socialize, find solitude, relax and make memories. Living rooms are often a reflection of the people who use them. Living rooms can also hold trauma memories for those who grew up in homes where there was more "surviving" than "living." The Living Room Wellness Center is a place where healing happens. Most of all, it is a place where people can find themselves "living" again. The Living Room Wellness Center is a safe place for ALL people who embody kindness. We are an unapologetically inclusive space and strive to provide services to marginalized groups who struggle to find wellness support in Springfielld and the surrounding area.

"I don't know how to talk about my feelings."
"I'm worried I won't know what to say."
"What if I don't have the right words?"
"I feel stupid not understanding therapy language."
"Won't my therapist judge me for not knowing how to do this?"
If you've thought any of these things, you're not alone. And here's what we want you to know: you don't need a degree in psychology to walk into therapy. You don't need to have your thoughts organized or your emotions perfectly labeled. You don't need to speak fluent therapy before you even start.
Real therapy isn't about using the right terminology. It's about showing up real.
At The Living Room Wellness, we believe healing starts with honesty, not a vocabulary test.
We help you find the words, not the other way around.
We translate confusing feelings into things that actually make sense for your life.
We meet you exactly where you are, not where you think you should be.
You don't need to have it figured out.
You just need to be willing to explore it.
Whether you're in Springfield, Ozark, or joining us virtually (coming soon to Joplin), our therapists are here to guide you through the process, not grade you on how well you do it.
If you've avoided therapy because you weren't sure how to "do it right," we'd gently offer another possibility.
Maybe... you're already doing it exactly right by showing up.
And that changes everything.

If you're navigating trauma but don't know where to start. If anxiety is running your life. If postpartum has hit differently than you expected. If infertility feels isolating. If a major life change has left you unmoored. If panic shows up when you least expect it. If depression has made everything feel heavy.
You're not overreacting.
You just need someone who gets what you're actually going through.
LeeAnn is an affirming therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and panic. She has deep expertise in maternal mental health (pregnancy, postpartum, infertility) and life transitions of all kinds. She meets you with warmth, clinical expertise, and genuine understanding.
Her approach is practical and collaborative. She uses CBT-based techniques tailored to your specific needs and goals. She's EMDR trained, helping you process trauma and reduce the symptoms that weigh you down. She believes therapy should help you feel more in control, not more confused.
LeeAnn creates a space where you can be honest, vulnerable, and real. Where you're not judged for struggling. Where your experience is validated and your healing is the priority.

We've heard it.
"I feel like my therapist is evaluating me."
"I'm worried about saying the wrong thing."
"It feels like I'm being graded instead of being helped."
"I leave therapy feeling judged, not supported."
The truth is, therapy shouldn't feel like performance review season. You shouldn't walk in feeling like you need to have it all together or say the "right" things. You shouldn't measure your worth by your therapist's clipboard or their clinical distance.
Real therapy isn't clinical. It's human.
At The Living Room Wellness, we believe healing happens when you can show up exactly as you are. Not performing. Not people-pleasing. Not trying to be the "perfect client."
We ask questions because we're curious, not because we're judging.
We take notes so we remember what matters to you, not to document your failures.
We celebrate you as a whole person navigating a complex life, not as a problem to be fixed.
Sometimes we laugh together.
Sometimes we sit with hard truths.
Sometimes we ask, "Tell me more about that," because your story actually matters.
Whether you're in Springfield, Ozark, or joining us virtually (coming soon to Joplin), you deserve a therapist who sees you as a human worth knowing, not a case to close.
If therapy has felt like an evaluation before, we'd gently offer another possibility.
Maybe... it just wasn't the right fit.
And finding the right fit changes everything.

Tired of therapy feeling like a script?
Real talk: not every wellness journey looks the same. Some of us need more than the standard playbook—we need someone who actually listens, questions back, and isn't afraid to have the messy, complicated conversations that matter.
At The Living Room Wellness, we're ditching the clinical distance. No predetermined worksheets. No "let's unpack that feeling" on repeat. Just actual human conversation with professionals who get it—the kind where you can be honest about what's really going on, and you get honest feedback in return.
Whether you're working through a specific challenge, exploring what comes next, or just need space to think out loud with someone in your corner, we create room for all of it. Our therapists and wellness practitioners meet you where you are, not where they think you should be.
