After spending an incredible 19 years at Headway Hair Designs, where I started as a shampoo girl then became a stylist and eventually co-owner; I've truly experienced the full spectrum of growth and learning. While it's bittersweet to say goodbye to this chapter of my life, I'm excited to share that I'll be starting a new adventure at Hair Xpressions in the Twinbrook Shopping Center, alongside my assistant, Teresa. In June 1983, I graduated from Woodson High School and four days later began my career as a Hairstylist in this very salon when it was Ravensworth Hair Studio. In late 1992 I began working at Headway Hair Designs in Kings Park Shopping Center. Headway Hair Designs then moved to Ravensworth Shopping Center in 2014, and yes, I was back to where I started. Ravensworth Shopping Center had always been my favorite place to work.
WOW! 41 years have passed so quickly, it’s hard to believe. As Headway Hair Designs announces the end of an iconic hair salon, I am announcing my retirement. Being a part of the Headway family has been very fulfilling, and I have been very fortunate to have had a career I have loved doing for 41 years. I have enjoyed my clients/friends and watching your families grow. We’ve shared our ups and downs, our good times, our not so good times, our children’s school days and events, our holidays, and our laughter and tears. I have known some of you since the beginning of my career, some of you I’ve just met, and so many in between. I have loved making you all look and feel good. Thank you all for your patronage, your kindness, your patience, your love and generosity, and entrusting me with your hair. I treasure our relationships we’ve built together and I wish everyone the best.

Attention All Valued Clients:
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our beloved salon. Our lease is up and we have decided to embark on a new endeavor. Over the years, it has been an incredible journey serving each and every one of our clients. From the laughter shared during haircuts to the moments of transformation and confidence boost, our clients have made our salon feel like our second home. We would like express our deepest gratitude to all of our clients for the loyalty, trust, and support throughout the years. We wouldn’t have been successful or loved our time in the salon without our amazing clients. Although Headway Hair Designs may be closing, the memories and connections forged will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We thank all of our clients for being a part of our Headway family and hope we will be able to make new memories in our new individual journeys. Our stylists would love to continue to serve our clients, whether it’s in the new salon that will utilize our space or at a different salon. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!
