The first photo is where we are 10 months later. 😍 Now swipe to see where this microloc journey began. ➡️

She originally had traditional locs but was ready for a completely different look. We started by cutting her traditional locs down to a shorter length, then carefully combed out the remaining locs to preserve as much of her natural hair as possible.

From there, we completed her microloc installation with extensions, giving her the length and versatility she wanted while starting a brand-new loc journey. 🤎

5 things I’ve learned as a Hairstylist/Loctician ✨

1. Moisture Matters : Dry locs are more prone to breakage, so keeping your hair properly moisturized is key. 🔑

2. Healthy hair comes before a perfect style. Your scalp and locs deserve care, not just a fresh retwist.

3. Consistency is everything. A good hair routine will always take you further than trying to “fix” your hair at the last minute.

4. Every head is different. What works for one client may not work for another—and that’s okay!

5. Your stylist should educate you, not just style you. I want every Blessed Babe to leave looking good and knowing how to properly care for their hair between appointments. 💕🌸
