A topical antioxidant serum in the morning (especially containing ascorbic acid) is absolutely essential for multiple reasons!
Know your ingredients and whether the product line actually delivers results.
Here's the scenario for this video: My client for over two years, advanced sun damage. Has been DEDICATED to my recommendations for her home care and doing therapeutic facials in my studio. Her skin has improved very much, more vibrant and healthy, smoother texture, dark spots lighter, but she still has to have pre-cancers and actinic keratoses burned off. So her doctor prescribed this chemotherapy cream (which I have been familiar with for over 20 years due to my background). She was not given enough instructions to feel confident about the application and was nervous about the treatment itself. I offered to have her come in so I could do her first application and show her. I also had her purchase.
~Vaseline (or Aquaphor)
~OTC Cortisone Ointment 1%
~Tylenol (Oral)
To help for the discomfort and pain which would come in the next days. She was not instructed to do so by her doctor and I wanted her to be prepared for her 14 day treatment. The most important part is that she was so nervous that she had almost decided not to do the treatment, but as Estheticians we can also be supportive and encouraging. I love that. By the way she is all done with her first round of 14 days and will be doing another in the fall.
