Why do we expect our partners to be mind readers?
One of the biggest reasons relationships fail today is because of the "Silent Test." We create a test in our head for the person we love. We think "If they really loved me, they would know I am sad" or "If they cared, they would have bought me flowers today without me asking."
Then, when they don't do it, we get angry. We pull away. We become cold. But the truth is, you are punishing them for a rule they didn't know existed.
We have been told by social media that "if he wanted to, he would." But this idea is actually destroying good relationships. Real love is not about guessing games. It is about clear communication. Your partner is a human being with their own stress and their own thoughts. They are not a machine built to serve your every unspoken wish.
If you have to ask for what you need, it does not make the love less real. In fact, asking for what you need is the highest form of respect you can give to your relationship. It stops the cycle of hidden anger and builds a foundation of truth.
Stop testing your partner and start talking to them. A relationship without communication is just a ticking time bomb.
In this session of The Teson Podcast we are breaking down why we set these traps and how to stop sabotaging your own happiness. We are choosing peace over performance.
The Question for You
Do you believe that if you have to ask for something, it loses its value? Or do you think clear communication is the only way to stay together? Tell me your story in the comments.

I recently had a talk with a lady about science and health. As a medical student, I want to share what she said and explain it simply so everyone can understand and share their own thoughts.
From our talk, I understand her point about how infections can spread when a lady visits a guy at his house. She said that often, even if the lady has already bathed at her own home, she should bathe again once she arrives. She feels that when people are in a hurry and have contact immediately, the sweat and salt on their skin cause infections. From a science view, I understand her focus on being clean. While bathing is a very good habit for comfort, sweat and salt do not actually cause infections like STIs. Those are passed through bodily fluids. Bathing is great for hygiene, but it cannot stop an infection that is already inside the body.
She also told me that some ladies do not wear underwear because of moisture. She said that when a woman uses water after using the bathroom and does not dry off, the underwear stays wet. This wetness and body heat can cause irritation and lead to infections. I understand her concern because a warm, wet place can cause yeast infections. However, the best way to stay healthy is to make sure the body is completely dry before dressing and to use cotton fabrics that let the skin breathe.
Regarding prevention, she said she will never take emergency pills because she is afraid they stay in the body and stop a woman from having children later. Instead, she takes Ampiclox to try and bring down her period when it is late. I understand she wants to protect her future, but this is a very important point to correct. Emergency pills leave the body quickly and do not cause infertility. Also, Ampiclox is an antibiotic for germs and bacteria; it has no power to start a period or stop a pregnancy. Using antibiotics the wrong way can actually make them stop working when you really need them.
Lastly, she believes that native herbs are the best way to flush the system. While I understand why people trust natural ways, there is no medicine that can "flush" the whole system clean. The body has the liver and kidneys that work every minute to clean the blood and remove waste. The best way to keep your system clean is to drink enough water so your organs can do their job.
I am sharing this because using the wrong medicine can hurt the body. I would like to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think these habits are helpful, or do you think they might cause more problems?
