I can still remember my uncle Felly that pasted away December 28th drove us to the photo studio like it was yesterday.

That portrait has lived in Grandma’s living room for over 30 years.

Yesterday, we laid her to rest. And we stood together again to recreate that same picture.

It was a beautiful funeral. A painful goodbye. A sweet reunion.

Time moves. Love doesn’t.

You were truly the best grandma. I’m going to miss those Sunday dinners with the best soul food your green beans, sweet potato pie, pound cake, roast… nobody did it like you. I’ll miss your jokes too. And you’d be happy to know Senator Mitch McConnell is stepping down 😌😂 I really wish you could’ve lived to see it.

I’m so blessed to have had my grandma for 51 years. You were the backbone of this family the one who knew how to love, how to joke, how to tell it like it is, how to be the shoulder to cry on. Your house was our anchor, and your presence kept us together.

You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. 💔❤️

Today is MLK Day.
It’s been 62 years since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed and yet the fight is far from over.

With a new administration openly working to weaken and gut civil rights protections, it’s clear the struggle continues.

Dr. King’s dream wasn’t a moment in history, it was a call to action.

Keep the dream alive.
Keep the hope alive.
Every day brings the possibility of change, but only if we keep fighting for it.

Day 2 of COVID, my symptoms are mild. I’m continuing my workouts from home. Today was Glutes and Leg Workout 🏋️‍♀️ followed with outdoor Bike ride 🚴🏼
