Cupboard & Kettle is finding its place.

What started with a few teas and cozy kitchen ideas has slowly grown into something that finally feels like its own little line — cozy kitchen comforts made for ordinary kitchens and everyday tables.

This weekend feels like our first real Cupboard & Kettle launch:

HANDCRAFTED TEAS— Porch, Parlour & Veranda iced teas, plus our new loose hot tea blends and botanical infusions.

BATTER BREAD MIXES — no kneading, no shaping. Just mix, rise & bake.

SWEET BISCUIT MIXES — tender fruit-filled biscuits with sweet glaze included.

FLAVORED SUGAR — a little something sweet for the cupboard.

And yes, preserves will be returning. Family life and a run of health-related appointments have temporarily kept the canning pots quiet, but they haven’t disappeared.

Scrying mirrors have a long history, but the idea behind them is surprisingly simple: a dark, reflective surface used as a focus for quiet observation.

Forms of scrying have been practiced for centuries using water, polished stone, metal, crystal, and eventually darkened mirrors. Rather than looking at the reflection the way you would with an ordinary mirror, the practice is traditionally about softening your focus and allowing images, thoughts, symbols, or impressions to come forward.

Today, people use scrying mirrors as part of divination or spiritual practice. Others use them more like a meditation tool—something to help quiet outside distractions, focus inward, journal, or explore intuition and symbolism.

There really isn’t one right way to use one. A quiet room, soft lighting, a comfortable place to sit, and a little patience are enough to begin.
