I used Swing after my neck decompression surgery and got to know the staff pretty well. Worked me hard but we also laughed alot. Easy people to get along with and they do a good job.

Your offseason is coming to an end! During the transition to movement or what we call, “post-season”, we want to improve tissue integrity & your readiness to absorb the upcoming work.

The emphasis is not on chasing performance gains, we want to focus on creating positive habits like modifying your diet, improving swim stroke, run form, bike position and adding strength and mobility work to build a resilient musculoskeletal system. This is the time to train movements, not muscles.

Just want to say Thanks to Swing for all the support they give my daughter Melissa who is fighting NMO a rare neurological disease. Melissa works for Swing and they help her with therapy as well as emotional support. As Melissa's mom and dad we want to say Thanks to Swing. Also anyone reading this should know that they treat all their patients that way as well. Great place to go for therapy.

Just want to say swing pt has been so much fun. The staff is amazing, fun, energetic and just amazing to work with. Not a fan that I have to go to pt. However, swing in surpise makes it worth every minute of it!! Cant say enough about how great they all are!!!!!!
Dear Swing PT,

I know everyone who walks through your door faces a different battle. For me, it was a reoccurring injury that simply kept me from my active life style. Daniel in Peoria was my PT. Thank you. I am indebted to him for the time, patience, and perseverence he put in to my sessions, not only to bring me normalcy, but to understand exactly what that meant...FOR me. I know I don't need to tell you how brilliant he is, but I WILL tell you I loved hearing and seeing the newest strategies/methodologies in sports medicine being used. That is reflective of Swing. Finally, thank you for the genuine kindness felt by everyone who walks through your doors. Prior to my referral, I heard constant praise for what you do. They were right. I know I will be back...dang knees, but hopefully later then sooner.
Swing PT has been great for us! Scott (at the Glendale location on 75th) is amazing, in particular. My husband is recovering from a hit-and-run knee replacement and I'm recovering from a broken ankle, and we've benefitted wonderfully from Scott's expertise and personalized attention. Everyone we've met here has been great, and the equipment is brand-new and fantastic. I fully recommend this place!
This is a great quote. I needed to hear it. Moving job positions to a better location & learning management in Starbucks in Frys. Thanks for everything.

Just a reminder that our office closes at noon today and will be closed on Monday. We will be back in the office bright and early Tuesday morning! Have a wonderful holiday weekend and stay safe!!!

Do you have any travel plans for the holiday weekend? If you could escape the heat and head off to the mountains or the beach, which would you choose?
Whatever you decide to do this weekend, please stay safe!

Good Morning Swing PT family! Did you know that when you "graduate" from your PT visits with us that you get one of these amazingly soft and comfy Swing PT tshirts?? Who doesn't love a little free swag for their hard work right?

Meet Dottie! She's just finished up her PT with us and couldn't be happier! Dottie is such a kind and delightful patient! We're so grateful that she chooses us every time she needs physical therapy! Congratulations Dottie!! You did a fantastic job!

What are you doing to take care of yourself this week?

If you're having trouble getting all your water in, did you know that you can eat your water too? Check out how adding these fruits and veggies can help you increase your water intake, stay hydrated, and get in valuable vitamins and nutrients. This isn't a substitute for drinking your water, but it can help you reach those hydration goals!

Today is National Hydration Day! How are you staying hydrated each day? With our average temps well over 100 degrees, its more important than ever to drink your water! If you're a big coffee drinker, remember you need an extra 8oz of water for every cup of coffee you drink!

Please note that our office will be closed on Monday, July 4th. Please be sure that your appointments are scheduled for that week as soon as possible. We always fill up fast on holiday weeks, so we suggest scheduling your appointments early. Call our office at 623.432.9965 to make sure you're on the books.

Did you know that we use a grade 4 laser wand as an integral part of our treatment plans here at Swing? The lasering process is a painless red light used to help reduce inflammation. It can help reduce symptoms, reduce pain, aide in speeding up the healing process, as well as provide some soothing relief due to the slight warmness that's felt during the treatment! I know it's one of my favorite parts of my PT treatment!
You can see Julian using the laser here on our patient's knee.

With summer approaching, what are some of your favorite ways to stay cool and incorporate the fruits of the season into your diet?

Kimberly likes to make a fruit salad. Brandy likes to prep pre-cut fruits and veggies into individual baggies for quick and cold on the go snacks!

Please join us in wishing Julian a big CONGRATULATIONS! He is graduating from Paradise Honors High School today. You may have seen Julian working in our office from time to time. Julian will also be attending NAU in the fall and majoring in Exercise Science.

Congratulations again to all of our Swing family kids that have graduated this month. We are proud of all of you! Now go chase you dreams!

Congratultions going out to Selena's daughter Mackensie who is graduating from Peoria High School today! She will be attending Northern Arizona University this fall with a major in Exercise Science. Mackensie has been awarded the prestigious Lumberjack Scholarship for excellence in academics. Her goal is to follow in her mom's footsteps and become an Athletic Trainer.

Way to go Mackensie! We're all very proud of the woman you have grown up to be!

Please note that our office will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 30th. We will reopen at 6 am on Tuesday.

Let's celebrate our second graduate of the day! Swing PT wishes a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Kate Roark on her graduation today! Kate is the daughter of our billing coordinator, Maria.

Kate's post graduation plans include traveling abroad for the summer to visit family in the Netherlands. She returns to the states just in time to pack up and head north to NAU to continue her education to become a doctor.

Best of Luck Kate! We are super proud of you!

Please join us in wishing our first Swing PT family high school graduate of the week a BIG CONGRATULATIONS! Kimberly's daughter, Joelle is graduating today from Shadow Ridge High School. Joelle will be attending Empire Beauty School in Avondale this fall to obtain her cosmetology license. As she has her own quirky and creative vibe, her goal is to specialize in vibrant colors and to open her own salon in the future.

We're so proud of you Joelle! You proved that when you put your mind to something and work hard enough anything is possible!

Not only do we have Swing PT high school graduations this week, we have 8th grade promotions to cheer for too! Today, Brandy's daughter Jocelynn, is promoting from 8th grade at Ashton Ranch Middle School into her freshman year of high school. Her summer plans include heading to church camp in Flagstaff, playing softball and hanging out with family and friends. Jocelynn is a little nervous about starting high school, but we all know that she will love it and do great! Congratulations on your promotion! We're all proud of you!

We have quite a few of our Swing PT family graduating this week! So we wanted to wish a BIG congratulations to all of the Class of 2022! You did it! Remember to never quit, chase your dreams, and surround yourself with good people who will help elevate and support you!

If you have a graduate this year, post their photo in the comments below! We want you to brag about your senior!

Happy Monday! Tell us one thing you are looking forward to this week!

We'd like to wish all the moms out there a Happy Mother's Day! Plus a very special shout out to the moms here on staff at Swing PT. Selena, Brandy, Maria, and Kimberly thank you for all you do! Not only do you keep our office running, but you keep your families running too! Enjoy your day!

Just because it's Friday, doesn't mean you get to quit! Keep going! You got this!

Let's have a little fun on this Friday morning! Which of these heart healthy activities do you prefer? Are you team jump rope or team jumping jacks? Drop your answer in the comments! Whichever you choose, it's a win win!

Are you going for an early morning walk with the sunrise, walking the dog, or watching one of the gorgeous Arizona sunsets as you walk? Maybe you're staying indoors and walking on the treadmill! Post a photo of your daily activity in the comments below! We want to see your walk!

The weather right now is simply gorgeous! It's just another great reason to get outside and go for a walk! Walking is great exercise and has both physical benefits as well as mental health benefits! What are you waiting for? Get walking!

Thanksgiving is just two days away! Are you already worried about your waistline? Instead of taking away foods on our Thanksgiving plate in an effort to be more health conscious, let's highlight nutrients in some traditional Thanksgiving foods. Rather than feeling guilty about the piece of pie, feel empowered by gaining more knowledge and understanding about the nutrients inside that piece of pie.

For Example:

Turkey: Promotes a boost in mood
Green beans: Promote bone-building
Yams: Promote iron absorption
Pumpkin: Promotes sharper vision

With the holidays coming up, are you proactively planning your meals to stay within your health goals or throwing caution to the wind and eating all the things? In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, stay tuned right here to our page for tips and tricks to keep your health and wellness check through the holidays and still feel like your are enjoying your friends, food and family.

Like this recipe from our insurance benefits coordinator, Kimberly. Check out this healthy Apple, Carrot, & Craisin Slaw recipe. She recently made this for a "friendsgiving" dinner and it was a big hit! Made with lots of fresh veggies and greek yogurt, its full of healthy goodness and packs a fall flavors punch! As listed it makes a serving for 4, but you can play with it to make it your own. Kimberly added a whole bag of shredded carrots, a whole bag of coleslaw mix, some small chunks of celery, and abundance of dried cranberries and slivered almonds to make a larger and crunchier salad! You can even substitute broccoli slaw mix for the cole slaw mix for even more crunch!
