Frankincense has so many health benefits. Many people think of religion when they hear the word, however this oil has many healing properties such as anti-inflammatory, relaxation, and skin health.

DIY Pet Shampoo!

Want to make your own pet shampoo? All you need is castile soap and essential oils. Want to try it without spending a lot of money? Target as well as other stores sell trial size bottles of Dr. Bronner's castile soap for around $3.00.

Recipe:

2 oz unscented castile soap
5 drops of pet friendly essential oils

This makes a concentrate! One teaspoon of concentrate should be mixed with 8 oz of warm water. One 2 oz bottle yields 8 washes! Don't use the concentrate directly on your pet because it will be extremely soapy and hard to remove!

Just make sure you use quality essential oils and use only those that are safe for pets. I've listed a few safe oils below. Beware of oils sold at stores like the Dollar Tree or Marshalls! Those are usually fragrance oils and are not to be used on the body. Plant Therapy or Cliganics are safe, affordable brands that can be purchase on Amazon. Don't use more than 5 drops of oil per 2 oz of soap concentrate! Essential oils can be much more toxic to dogs than people. Think of what you would give to a baby!

Clary Sage
