I didn’t get the name of the 90 year old In town, or the name of her son who was up to help her move from her home to a retirement community, but we are grateful to them for being willing to give up the china that has for so long been in their family. Her son explained that his mom was willing to let loose of so many of her belongings, because, she said, she has the memories of them. But her son said selling the china (for $10, a lot of items, including 14 dinner plates) gave him pause because he remembers dinner at his GRANDMAS house using this china. We are grateful to them, and we extend our love to them. We appreciate beautiful old things. The china landed in a home that will appreciate and enjoy it.
This is part 2. I had a terrible time getting this video to post, I finally decided maybe it was just too long. It did finally post when I posted part1, then part 2.
