Hand pouring beautiful pure soy candles in the heart of Gig Harbor and spreading the love.

✨The shop got a little summer refresh, and I have to say… she’s looking pretty cute. ☀️🌿

The shelves are stocked with your favorite summer scents (including the return of Beach Day 🌊), so many good books are waiting to be discovered, and there are lots of new little treasures tucked throughout the shop.

If you’re out wandering downtown Gig Harbor today, come say hi! I’ll be here from 11-3ish.

A quick heads up, too: we’ll be closed Sunday and our shop hours will be a little sporadic over the next couple of weeks while our family is away. Anytime we’re open, I’ll be sure to post here so you’ll know! We’ll be back to our regular hours in August.
Would love to see you today! ✨

✨ July’s Book Bundle has arrived. 📚🍅

This month we’re pairing Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books by Kirsten Miller with our Tomato Vine candle—a fresh-from-the-garden scent that feels right at home alongside this charming Southern story. With notes of sun-warmed tomato leaves, fresh herbs, and green vines, it’s like stepping into a backyard garden on a warm Georgia afternoon.

Set in a small Southern town, this witty and heartfelt novel follows a battle over banned books that takes an unexpected turn when someone secretly swaps a self-appointed censor’s “approved” library with banned books hidden beneath wholesome dust jackets. What unfolds is a funny, thought-provoking story about community, second chances, and the surprising power of the books we choose to read.

Bundle the book and candle together and save $6 ($35.50 total) while supplies last. I can’t wait to hear what you think of this month’s pick. ❤️

✨ Apparently July didn’t get the memo. ☁️

So while we wait for the sunshine to catch up, I’m bringing it into the shop instead.

Beach Day (yes, it’s finally time!!!!) is back this week, and it smells like salty air, warm sand, and summer by the water—the kind of day we’re all hoping is just around the corner.

See you at the shop. Friday 11-1ish!

✨Candlelight has a way of bringing people together.
Last night was a book club meeting for the books.
Thanks for another wonderful evening! I feel so lucky to have this beautiful community.

✨🌿 A little midweek shop update.

We’ll be open Friday with Kara behind the counter while I’m away. Stop in and say hi!

Kara is the maker behind Loom and Gloom, creating beautiful embroidered pieces that always amaze me, and you’ll find some of her work tucked throughout the shop—including the piece pictured here beside Lush. 🤍

While you’re in, don’t wait too long on our spring scents:

🌿 Lush
🌧️ In the Rain
🌸 Branch + Blossom

They’re all getting low and won’t be returning until next spring.

And of course you’ll find summer favorites, Tomato Vine, Moss & Clover, Sunlight, books, gifts, and all the little treasures that make this tiny shop what it is.

See you Friday. ✨

One of my favorite views. 🤍✨

When I opened En Light, I hoped it would be a place where people could slow down for a minute, discover a new favorite scent, find a great book, and leave feeling just a little lighter than when they walked in.

Over the years, this little shop has brought so many wonderful people into my life and created so many conversations and connections that never would have happened otherwise.

We’re closed today, but I’ll be back in the shop tomorrow. If you’re out enjoying the harbor this weekend, I’d love to see you.

Happy Saturday, friends. ☀️

A sunny Friday in our sweet little harbor calls for something green and fresh. ☀️🌿 Meet Tomato Vine.
Inspired by sun-warmed garden paths, tomato leaves brushed between your fingers, and summer afternoons that seem to stretch on forever.
Not fruity.
Not sweet.
Just fresh-from-the-garden goodness.
Tomato Vine is available in the shop today and will be arriving online soon. 🍅

Summer doesn’t always look like sunshine.

Sometimes it looks like rain on the windows, a book you’ve already read once, and a candle burning in the middle of the afternoon.

Sunlight was inspired by that feeling.

Bright citrus, green tea, lemongrass, soft florals, and warm summer air.

The limited ceramic vessels have been surprisingly popular and there are only a few left.

Amber jar versions will be arriving soon.

What does summer look like where you are today?

06/09/2026

Shh, I have a confession.

I think tomato vines smell even better than tomatoes.

Every summer I brush past the plants in my garden as I’m watering and wish I could bottle that scent—the green leaves warmed by the sun, the earth beneath them, the feeling that the whole season is still stretching out in front of you and it’s so wholesome.

Some scents are meant to smell like flowers.

But this one smells like the garden. One of my very favorite places in the summer.

Green. Earthy. Alive. A little unexpected.

Maybe it’s for gardeners. Maybe it’s for cooks. Maybe it’s for people who still remember the smell of picking tomatoes from the backyard as kids. Or maybe it’s just for anyone who believes summer should smell like something real.

If this is for you, Tomato Vine is arriving at En Light Candle Co. this week. 🌿🍅

A little shop update ✨

The shop will be closed tomorrow while I spend the whole entire day celebrating Max’s 8th grade graduation. 🎓

If you were planning to stop by, just send me a message. I’m always happy to arrange porch pickup or help however I can.

Summer is arriving in the shop:

🕯️ Only 5 of the ceramic Sunlight candles remain
☀️ Amber jar Sunlight candles arrive next week
☮️ Peace, (our bug-repelling candle) is coming back
🌿 A brand new summer scent is almost ready for its debut

I’ll share weekend hours as soon as I know them, but my messages are always open if you need anything.

And now… off to celebrate my favorite graduate.
