Most places that tell you no massage during the first trimester, or no deep tissue, or no massage on the feet are doing so because they have not been educated on pregnancy massage or it's to cover their own butts.
80% of all miscarriages happen during the first trimester but there is no correlation between receiving a massage and miscarriage. Are there very specific, rare situations where massage is contraindicated? Yes. And we will discuss that before starting the massage. But for the majority of pregnancies massage is safe and beneficial.

Pregnant bodies go through massive changes, physically and emotionally. Massage can help ease those transitions by relaxing the body and mind. And if massage could start labor I'd be a millionaire 😉

Although my business is just a tiny seed buried in the cold dirt right now, and I don't have many followers or a presence on social media, I have to make sure anyone who comes across my account knows where I stand so either they know they are safe with me or they know to look for another massage therapist. I am my business and I am, and have always been, someone who believes in equal rights for ALL, as stated in our constitution. This country's history is steeped in oppression and violence but we can move forward into a new era. I feel angry and sad but I am also hopeful and determined 💜✊🏼

My favorite time of the day is the quiet of the dark morning, while everyone else is still asleep, and the only light is from the Christmas tree. It feels cozy and peaceful.
