Every big thing starts small.
We started with 22.
We lost 3.
We learned.
We are gonna keep going.
This was the last jar from our first batch.
More coming soon.
Keep building — even if nobody understands it yet.
Picking up where we left off…
After resting and fully setting, it’s time to whip air back in.
The texture changes — more like a dense cream or balm — but the nourishment stays the same.
Mistakes happen. Life gets busy. We’ve all been there.
These butters do best when stored in a cool, dry place. They’re preservative-free and can be affected by excessive heat or cold.
Melted doesn’t mean wasted.
Part 2: Remember when the body butter melted in the car? 😅
This is what it looks and feels like after fully melting — hard, flaky, and definitely not whipped anymore.
Heat changes the texture, but not the skin-loving benefits.
To reset it, I gently melted it back down. I used short microwave bursts here for the demo — low heat, slow and controlled.
For a more traditional method, a double boiler works great too.
Next up: letting it rest.
This ever happened to you?
These jars spent the day in a hot car in the Florida sun…
…in January.
Yes. January. ☀️😅
And while the weather this time of year is amazing here, heat can soften oil-rich, natural body butters and even cause them to liquefy — allowing oils to migrate, saturate labels, and occasionally travel where they weren’t invited.
Annoying? Yes.
Ruined? No.
Next time: I’ll show you how to recover from this little heat mishap and get the butter back where it should be — because this is mostly an inconvenience, not a failure.
