“Feeling stronger and more like me everyday! “

💕 For those of you who know me longer then 5 years know what I mean!

💕For those of you who don’t this is me 2.0 after :
-2 Total knee Replacements
-1 manipulation under Anesthesia L knee
-1 Double Mastectomy w/ diep flap reconstruction
-2 breast revisions surgeries
-6 rounds of chemotherapy
-6 rounds of cold capping
-25 rounds of radiation
-18 rounds of immunotherapy
- Medical induced menopause
-3 kidney surgical procedures
-1 bladder procedure
-3 years soo far of post treatment medication (2 years to go)
-gained 60 lbs
-5 tattoos

💕 But Captain Flamingo 2.0 now focuses on life again, me time!
- Lift weights 3 times a week since Jan.
- Cardio 2-3 times a week
- Small runs (not sure I will get back to big ones but would love to run a full 5 k some day
- Gave up alcohol (not that I really drank but kidneys don’t like it )
-lots of other lifestyle changes
- Down 47 lbs but up a load of confidence!!!

I don’t share this to brag but to encourage anyone who I can that you are still you and if your are struggling, don’t feel like yourself give yourself time, grace and dedication because your worth it !

Thank you to everyone who has and still supports me! From prayers, laughter, walks, workouts and my family, stranger and my medical teams ! I am not done yet !!

**correction was 4 years ago but for Mother’s Day ;)

3 years ago we visited Daytona Beach with the girls the Mother’s Day before my double mastectomy! Back with the hubby for a few days and feeling great! *. Fun fact the hotel 2 buildings down from where we are staying is called the Flamingo 🦩 Inn!!

Tomorrow is one of my Moffitt Days-
With multiple doctors! While I know all is going to be Flamazing there is always some nerves that start building!

This week I was blessed with some sweet surprises! This beautiful painting that one of my brand new employees did when she saw my office decorations. And yes a fun flamingo cup from the owner of the CrossFit Gym where i lift at ( she said she was the 🦩 and thought of me)

**bonus they match!

It is a calming factor to know that people have always had me in their prayers and this little pink bird brings me to their mind for good thoughts!
