Savor life with those you love. Don't be too busy; don't be too proud; don't be too self centered. Because one day, life as we know it will be over, and we will have to find a new normal. Remember the little things, one day, you'll see that they are the big things.

Today, I rocked an outfit that I never would have worn because
1) I was always too bloated to wear the dang skirt
2) heels hurt my ankles
3) the shirt is kind of tight, so I used to be really self conscious wearing it. In face, I hadn't worn it in a while!
Thank you to eating WHOLE one ingredient foods, learning to listen to my body about what gives me inflammation, and learning what makes ME feel best.
Hello confidence! Just in time for summer!

It is easy to get obsessive about measuring your progress. We are so lucky, we have lots of tools available to us to use, but some are more accurate than others.
❌the scale. I HATE the scale. This thing... your entire mood can be determined by some number between your two big toes. I don't own a scale. I never will. It's an as***le. Your weight can fluctuate between monthly cycle of your body and the cycle of the moon (it's true!! Google it!)
❌body fat calipers: I don't own these either. I've heard they are not accurate.
⭕️food/macro/calorie tracking apps: this can be good or bad, it depends on the person. If you have a history of eating disorders, it's probably a bad idea to track your food. If going over your calorie/macro goal causes stress and guilt, it's probably a bad idea to track your food in this obsessive way. I use my fitness pal (JustKelsey19, if you want to add me as a friend 😉) but just to be able to look back and see what I ate and how I felt. That's it. No obsessive tracking for me.
I have 3 favorite ways to track.
✔️progress photos. Pics don't lie, y'all. I try to remember to take these monthly. If I'm experimenting with a new way of eating, weekly.
✔️measurements. Quick. Easy. Not so discouraging.... no numbers anyone might snoop and find somewhere... love my tape measure. Been using it for years.
✔️mean jeans. Yep. You know, the pair with the zipper, and the button... the pair you may or may not have had to zip with pliers while laying on your bed? Yeah... now that you know the pair I'm talking about, use them. Do you have anything hanging over the sides? If you do, that's body fat. {no judgement... I have over hang too!} and just see. Take them out monthly and take a picture.
Mean Jeans are probably my favorite way to measure my progress, because one day, I'm going to wear them out in public, comfortably.

Enjoying my coffee {{black 🖤}} and doing my miracle morning that is interrupted by crying kids (life's not perfect!) I'm so excited because I've lost another inch and another pound! 🙌 I decided to share my workout schedule for the week, just in case anyone wanted to give it a try. (You can for FREE for 30 days by the way!!) I'm doing a hybrid of the and for strength, endurance, flexibility, and recovery. And of course, to look and feel my best on our cruise {52 days away!!} Are you going to be enjoying a vacation this summer?
When you start a new way of eating, it takes 3 weeks for your body to adapt for weight loss. Always give yourself 3 weeks at least. Don't doubt yourself. You got this! ❤️

Hi! My name is Kelsey, and I eat 70-80% fat. I cut the crap out of my diet. I prefer to eat WHOLE foods. I have a better relationship with my food if I take the time to wash it, cut it, prepare it, and be grateful for it. ❤️

✌🏻 excerpt from my personal development this morning: "why do women always put themselves last? It's tragic and I used to be a terrible offender. Women, showers a e nonnegotiable, and leggings are not pants. Makeup is optional, but sister, feed yourself breakfast (and not from a mug). You're doing no one any favors by putting yourself last. In fact, you think you're doing the selfless thing by putting everyone else first, you're actually sabotaging all your efforts by refusing to take time to fill your tank. Somewhere, some time ago, someone told you you had to do it all - and that you had to do it all by yourself. Instead of saying no, paring down, and embracing the quality of life over quantity of commitments, you allowed your life to spin out of control. And it's left you without half a second to take a deep breath" - Emily Ley
Sorry for the long post, I just thought this should be here just in case someone needed to hear it :) ❤️

Spinach Chicken & Tomato CLEAN Pizza
▪ 2 cups spinach
▪ 1 T water (more or less)
▪ 1 T Greek yogurt
▪ 1/2 cup spinach (put aside)
Blend spinach and water then pour in small bowl. Add Greek yogurt to thicken (can add more for further thickening). Add spices to taste. Also, the extra 1/2 cup that was put aside can be broken up and added to spinach sauce for further thickening (stir not blend).
Build it:
▪ 1 low carb whole wheat tortilla
▪ 2 oz of cooked chicken (chopped)
▪ 4 tomato slices, 1/4 cup spinach, 1/4 cup 2% shredded mozzarella (or Swiss)
Spread about 2 T of sauce on tortilla then top with the rest of ingredients. Bake until cheese starts to brown at about 350 degrees. Cut into 4 squares and Enjoy!!
*i have done this with store made dough too, the kids love helping me make pizza
