A year ago today, I started my journey in permanent cosmetics. It was the best decision I have made for myself.
Being able to use my artistic skills and apply it to a career that can be so rewarding, is such a blessing.
I’m not nearly where I want to be in my permanent cosmetics career. I’m always learning. Always growing. But I am so thankful to have the support of not just my mentor but all the friends I have made so far along the way!

This is a perfect visual breakdown of different styles offered with cosmetic tattooing and how they would work for you.

Microshading (or powder brows) is done by using a special technique with a tattoo machine that makes tiny pixelated dots through out the eyebrow. Once it heals, it looks very natural and is meant to look as though you just filled your brows with make up. It’s definitely softer than your typical tattoo. ✨

I get asked about Microshading more often than I do about Microblading due to its recent increase in popularity. Personally, I love the way microshading heals but that’s because I enjoy the wake up with make up look. 😃

We went from sparse, light brows to bold and defined! Almost looks like make up! 😍

We had to create a brow shape, since the tails of her brows were missing and we decided on doing a combination of microblading and microshading (powder brows). They turned out fabulous! ✨

Microblading magic! ✨

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure whereby hair like incision strokes are created along the eyebrow to attempt to either enhance, reshape or create a natural looking appearance on the brows.
•
The procedure entails the use of a nanoblade, which is dipped into a cosmetic tattoo pigment that has been matched to natural hair colour and skin tone. It is then glided along a sketched outline of the brow that has been drawn on and scrutinized beforehand.

Microblading is also known by a variety of names such as microstroking, feather touch and tattoo hair strokes.
