Just a few months ago, I was stuck at 135 #, too scared to go heavier. Today, I pulled a personal
record of 275 # â almost double what I once thought was my limit â and followed it with 2 sets
of 225 #. đŞ
This moment isnât only about the barbell. Itâs about facing down fear and learning to rise when
life feels heavy. I used to train alone, holding myself back. Now, with guidance and someone to
push me harder, Iâve discovered what happens when I trust myself, commit fully, and step into
my own strength.
Life has tested me in ways I couldnât have imagined. But instead of breaking, Iâve built
resilience. Instead of shrinking, Iâve grown. And now my emotional strength is showing up in my
body: strong mind, strong body, strong woman.
To anyone standing at the edge of their own limits â donât be afraid to push past them. What
feels impossible today can become your reality tomorrow. Rise up. đĽ â¨

Had the privilege of sharing a regenerative medicine overview with Waits Physical Therapy, one of my trusted referral partners in the valley. Their clinic stands outânot only for their skilled team, but also for the tools they bring to patient care, including a squat rack, Pilates reformer, and advanced rehab equipment.
These resources allow us to design individualized treatment plans for specific populationsâfrom athletes working on performance recovery to patients rebuilding strength and stability after injury.
What makes this collaboration so valuable is our shared philosophy of continuity of care. By aligning regenerative medicine with physical therapy, we create a seamless path for healingâaddressing pain, restoring function, and supporting long-term results. This kind of partnership allows patients to experience the best of both worlds: advanced medical interventions paired with movement-based rehabilitation.
Iâm grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated team, and I look forward to continuing to build bridges that empower patients in their recovery journey.
This weekendâs Botox workshop at the Neil Riordan Center gave students valuable hands-on
experience in both cosmetic and therapeutic applications. đ ⨠These trainings go beyond the
classroom, helping future providers expand their skills in aesthetics, pain management, and
integrative care. Always rewarding to see students grow through opportunities like this! đ
đ Summer 2025 Regenerative Medicine Honors Track Celebration đ
What a way to close out the year! So proud of my Honors Track studentsâDr. Kylie Mullen and Dr. Alexis Greenâwho not only mastered regenerative injections and brought joy to every shift, but also walked away with major honors. đŤ
đ Kylie earned the Outstanding Leadership Award
đ Alexis received the Daphne Blayden Award
đ And to my surprise, I was honored with the Student Recognition Award for Exceptional Skill, Enthusiasm, Patience, Compassion, and Commitment to Sonoranâs Core Values.
We laughed, we learned, we competed (those gold star trophies live on đ), and we all grew together. These best friends made this year so much fun, and itâs been an absolute privilege to be part of their journey to becoming physicians.
Hereâs to the next chapter, Doctors. Youâve made me so proud. đ
Had the chance to tour the Phoenix Bioscience Core with Phoenix Community Alliance, such an energizing event.
We explored plans for downtown development, connected with leaders shaping the future of health, and even got a glimpse of how local artists are bringing science to life through art. đ¨đ§Ź
As a regenerative medicine doctor, I believe true healing starts upstream, with systems, policy, and community. This event reminded me that building health means building bridges.
Do you treat patients with dysautonomia like POTS, functional neurological disorders, connective tissue disorders like EDS or joint hypermobility?
Emily Derwin, DPT from Advanced Neurological Rehabilitation, shared how PT approaches like ADAPT can improve stability, reduce injury risk, and support long-term healing. đŞđ§Ź
Physical therapy and regenerative medicine can work better together â and this conversation is just the beginning. đ
I used to fight the cold. Now I let it teach me.
Cold plunges have become one of my most powerful teachersânot because theyâre comfortable, but because theyâre not.
Theyâve taught me how to stay present when everything in me wants to escape. And thatâs a lesson I carry far beyond the water.
When you stop avoiding discomfort, you start opening to possibility.
Whatâs been your biggest teacher latelyâexpected or not?
Hot. Cold. Reset.
Iâve done contrast hydrotherapy everywhere from remote Japanese hot springs to cold plunges here in Arizona. Every time, the benefits go far beyond recovery.
This is about building resilienceâphysically, mentally, and emotionally. From boosting circulation and mitochondrial energy to training breath and focus, cold and heat teach you how to meet discomfort with presence.
Each session is a reminder: your body is built to healâbut sometimes, it needs the right stimulus to remember how.
I love teaching perineural injections because theyâre simple, safe, and deeply effective when done correctly. In my student clinical rotations and regeneratice medicine honorâs track, I build skills step-by-stepâfrom clear instruction to hands-on practice. Once students master the technique, I empower them to teach others. Because nothing builds confidence like doingâand teaching. This is one of the most powerful ways I prepare future doctors to create a lasting impact.
