Today tis' the paws of my brother Sox; the Amish Terrorist Soxbert. The gift that keeps on giving to my mother & Step Father, Albert. Soxbert they call him.

My mother's Mother's Day gift from a few years ago, her evening lap cat. By day Albert's little fur boy, friend of squirrels through stalking and argument ending in companionship & presence; bird watcher and cat house percher.

All the time, predator & lover, and so be it in no predictable order or fashion, but rather, random tact! The sour patch cat. Hence, the routine nail clipping. Temporarily preventing the family to fall victim to one of the more sour moments.

There's been one hover wife short of a piggy back ride to observe the spouse's cut...

A critical customer review of me from a year ago reported to me unknowingly that *it's me* followed by pure satisfaction *of me* & a gracious tip extended to that same me... 🤔🤭

And a nose scratch-pick INTO the nostril, THROUGH THE CAPE too many today (by an adult).

I wanted my mother to come pick me up by the time these photos were taken & absolutely deserved a lollipop 🍭.

Your barbers care way more about you than you know.

To the client who's anonymity I hold dear. When you sit in my chair, all I want to do is make you smile & love on and nurture you for 30 minutes. I know this journey. I know your journey. Although manifestations may look different & our pasta may vary, I see you. I see your soul & how beautiful it is. Your presence is a profound reminder that love flows through hearts like ours & that we must give it away to keep what we have.

Why you picked me as your barber, I'll never know; or perhaps it will be revealed in time as you trust me to serve you. You offer me grand gifts when you come in & I am still learning how to take that. It's just you being you & I like that about you because I do similar things for others. I see a piece of myself in it. We share that. I wish I could thank you in some spectacular way or do more to show my appreciation, but that wouldn't quite be receiving gracefully now would it? I digress.

My prayer for you and the lives you touch around you would be that the work is never in vain, always life changing and forever filled with love. May you love on the world as you shed in our short moments together & may the world love you in magnitude in return.
