I decided to go back to school this year to begin my ASL Interpreter degree. Something I've wanted to do for 20+ yrs after being introduced to ASL as a child by my grandma. I then took ASL 1 + 2 in high school and volunteered at a Deaf Orphanage in Mexico a few times. ASL has always found it's way into my life over the years and this year I finally decided to take the leap and start working towards becoming an interpreter. It's going to be a long road before I complete everything, but I'm excited to finally become fluent in a 2nd language. We're never too old to learn something new.
