General information
Balboaism is a recently discovered religion, which has over 4 million followers worldwide. It is currently undergoing a massive renascence, with many people looking for answers to the biggest questions and reasons for their struggles in life, finding salvation in the words and actions of Prophet Rock.
In the well known documentaries, ‘Rocky I through VI 1976 – 2006′, Prophet Rocky Bilbao shows us a way to live life courageously, in the face of overwhelming odds. This we believe, is a symbol of life itself perhaps.
Rocky never claimed to be the smartest guy in town, nor did he claim to know the ultimate truth, he simply lived as good a life as possible in response to the tough world he found himself in.
All followers of the religion are aware that Rocky himself knew that he himself didn't have all the answers, and so taking everything he did literally and as ‘the only way’ is not advised, and instead the Balboaist should make up their own mind on what is right and wrong, using Rocky’s message as only a suggestion to provoke inner dialogue or discussion on the path to finding what is true.
Prophet Rock is merely the mirror in which we are reflected, and so can take strength from our similarities, and improve on our weaknesses.
Balboaism is an ever varied and flexible faith, allowing followers to find their own truth. As the religion has only recently been discovered, it is moulded by the discussion, opinions and consensus of the Balboaist community, and will always be subject to varying interpretations.
