The Canada Salsa & Bachata Congress is here again.. a beautiful gathering where dancers, artists, instructors, performers, and dance lovers from around the world come together to celebrate movement, music, creativity, and connection. ✨

It’s been a privilege to be part of this beautiful world for the last few years—to learn, to contribute, to connect, and to witness so much incredible talent and artistry up close. From helping behind the scenes with stage management to taking workshops and sharing moments with artists from around the world, every year leaves me with something new to carry with me.

I get to learn from some of the best instructors and artists in the world—exploring musicality, body movement and isolation, flow, sensuality, connection, expression, and the many ways music can come alive through movement. And then, to watch dancers from around the world transform years of dedication and passion into breathtaking performances is a reminder of how powerful art can be.

Every year, I leave with a little more inspiration, a few more beautiful memories, and a deeper appreciation for the art of simply being present in the moment.

This place is full of energy, art, and a kind of magic that makes you feel alive.

Art has always been more than a passion to me—it’s where I feel most connected to myself.

Whether I’m emceeing an event, reciting poetry, singing, or dancing, each form of artistic expression nourishes my soul in a different way. Poetry teaches me to listen, music teaches me to feel, and dance reminds me that some emotions are best expressed without words.

I believe art has the power to inspire, heal, and bring people together beyond language and culture. Every opportunity to express myself through these creative forms is both a privilege and a deeply spiritual experience.

I’m grateful for every chance to connect with people, celebrate creativity, and continue growing through the arts.
