my fav tips for mastering a blendy no root scalp foil 🩰🪄

-foil in a Mohawk placement

-fine section size, fine leave out

-make sure your leave outs are the same depth

-thicker lightener to grip the foil and avoid overlapping

-work your lightener to the very top of the foil (don’t glob at the top of the foil)

-let it process allll the way

I’ve trying to be strict about my 2 admin days because this is a full time job itself.. plus I have 4 days behind the chair this week then I’m flying to Charleston to teach!!

Hair girlies how many admin days do you take?!

Today is my first day behind the chair in the beautiful space I created with .hair—and all I can think about is 5 year old Micah.. I remember setting up shop in my grandmas bathroom with a Barbie head & a phone. I would pretend the phone was ringing and would answer it saying “Micah’s salon how can I help you?” Flash forward to cosmetology school where we made mission statements with our goals.. mine was to create an accepting salon environment that people leave feeling even more confident then when they came in. Flash forward to this year when the Lord gave me a vision of what’s to come.. using this salon as a vessel for His love and ultimately taking back what the enemy has stolen in the beauty industry.

Now I am living in the middle of everything that I’ve dreamed about. This past week has been a grind getting everything ready and I have loved every single minute of it. Hugeeeee shoutout to my family, Pj’s family and Keeley’s family for making our vision come to life. I would love to officially introduce to you all… .and.m.hairstudio 🫶🏼🎉

Ever since I started hair school God has put on my heart that I will open a salon that is full of love, joy & acceptance. The past few months He has been making a way for this little space to happen! He has placed people in my life, provided vision & His perfect guidance which is what brought me here… literally living in the middle of this promise. (No joke— 8 months ago I had a dream that Keeley & I were working in a suite in an office building and I had no idea what that meant!!!)

My ❤️ has always been for guest experience. I want every single guest to feel accepted, loved & leave feeling even more confident in themselves! I value the bond & friendships that I create behind the chair which is why guest experience is so important—from the clean environment, coffee & snack bar, trendy decor and an overall luxury/high-end experience!
