Hello, September.

I’ve been quiet, but that’s because I’ve been resting and taking better care of myself than I had been.

I’m proud of myself for doing so.

Don’t worry though. Sol Narmina has still been taking shape behind the scenes as I continue working on rebranding everything.

This last quarter is intentionally going to feel different and I’m starting to fall back in love with my small business.

See you soon,
Lola 🦋

Sol Narmina Skincare is looking to attend some in-door events the remainder of the year around the Tuscaloosa/Birmingham area. I would love to be part of some women led events or events geared towards women. Let’s connect if you know of any upcoming vendor events. 🫶🏾🦋

This little rebrand is coming along… same care and quality just bringing my love of the ocean blue to my brand.

Being the face of a small business will push you far outside of your comfort zone.

For me, one of the hardest parts has been allowing myself to be seen. Not only as the founder of Sol Narmina, but as the woman behind it. The woman living with Sjögren’s, navigating exhaustion, building a brand, and still learning how to open up online.

I am realizing that showing up will not look the same every day. Sometimes it means speaking directly to the camera. Sometimes it means leaning on my digital twin when my body needs rest. And sometimes it means giving myself grace and trying again tomorrow.

Sol Narmina is an extension of me, and I know that sharing more of my story may help another woman feel seen, understood, or a little less alone.

So I’m taking this as my sign to keep going. To keep speaking. To keep showing up imperfectly, but honestly.

Some days I look completely fine on the outside while my body is quietly asking me to slow down.

I live with Sjögren’s syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that affects me in ways people cannot always see. The fatigue, brain fog, joint and muscle discomfort, inflammation, low energy, and skin that becomes even drier than usual are all very real.

The last few days have been difficult, so today I rested. I stayed in bed, listened to my body, and gave myself permission to do less without feeling guilty about it.

This is also part of why caring for dry skin became so personal to me and why Sol Narmina means more than simply making products.

It comes from understanding what it feels like when your body needs a little extra support and care.

To every woman living with an invisible illness, you do not have to look sick for what you are experiencing to be real. Rest is not laziness. Slowing down is not weakness. Be gentle with yourself and don’t forget that your rest isn’t optional.

I see you, and this is for you. 🫶🏾
