FINALLY My Turn In Sonna’s Chair. ✂️❤️

Sonna Brado and I have been friends for many years, and when you’ve been in this industry as long as we have, there’s something pretty special about getting to sit in the chair of someone whose talent, artistry and knowledge you have respected for so long.

This time, I got to be the client. 🙌

I’m incredibly grateful that Sonna came to Studio Wish to pour into my team, share her knowledge and passion for our craft, challenge us to think differently and remind us why education will ALWAYS matter.

And then… she gave ME a fabulous new haircut. 😜✂️

There’s something really special about being a hairdresser and putting yourself completely in another artist’s hands. I got to sit back, trust her vision and experience the craft from the other side of the chair.

And I LOVE IT. ❤️🔥

So I go in and strategically point cutting, not to take length off, but to break up that hard edge with a little length… to soften it, to give it somewhere to go.

“Short hair pushes long hair. Short hair is strong. Long hair is weak. Short pushes where you want long hair to go.”

Because when everything is too “perfect,” it just sits there. It doesn’t move. It doesn’t live.

This is about creating shape that works with the hair, not forcing it into a line.
