Join us tomorrow, Friday, June 12 from 12-1 pm Central Time to celebrate 20 years of HPV vaccination in the U.S. Tamika Felder of Cervivor, Inc., Dr. Aimee Kreimer of NCI, Dr. Kevin Ault of Western Michigan, Dr. Rebecca Perkins of Tufts, and Dr. Eric Adjei Boakye of Henry Ford Health System will be joining hosts Dr. Heather Brandt, and the St. Jude HPV Cancer Prevention Program to talk about this milestone in cancer prevention.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) first approved an HPV vaccine (Gardasil) in June 2006. Since late 2016, Gardasil 9 has been the only HPV vaccine available in the United States. Originally approved to prevent cervical cancer and ge***al warts, in 2020, the FDA expanded this to include the prevention of vaginal, vulvar, a**l, and certain oropharyngeal (head and neck) cancers.
While we have made progress, and we should celebrate this progress, we also have more work to do. This webinar will look back and importantly look forward to new opportunities to prevent HPV cancers and other conditions caused by HPV.

Fruits and vegetables are rich in cancer-fighting nutrients -- and the more color, the more nutrients they contain. These foods can help lower your risk in a second way, too, when they help you reach and maintain a healthy body weight. Carrying extra pounds increases the risk for multiple cancers, including colon, esophagus, and kidney cancers. Eat a variety of vegetables, especially dark green, red, and orange vegetables. https://wb.md/3RYTcX9
