Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

After 34 incredible years in the Beauty industry, the time has come for me to say goodbye and embrace retirement. This decision has not been easy, but it feels right as I reflect on the myriad of challenges and accomplishments that have shaped my journey.
My tentative closing date is May 24th, 2025. Though I am hoping to serve you til then, please understand that circumstances could necessitate an earlier closure.

First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. The connections and the memories we've made over the years mean the world to me. I will miss all of you dearly. Whether or not I did your hair, I truly am lucky to have met so many wonderful people at the salon.

The past few years have been particularly challenging for small businesses like mine, especially following the pandemic. The economic climate has made it increasingly difficult to pivot from one expense to another. Additionally, my hands have been feeling the strain. Despite my efforts to reduce my workload and accupuncture, it hasn’t been financially viable working less.

Unfortunately, the current political climate has also made conversations in the salon more challenging. While I believe in the importance of open dialogue, I find myself needing to censor discussions that can lead
to discomfort among clients.
The pandemic took a toll and was so hard on all of us. God bless all of you who continued to support my family through heartfelt gifts and donations. Not to mention the cards and calls I needed to keep me from losing my mind!

I want the opportunity to see all of you through the next few months. To reflect on the joy and stories, reminiscing about all the laughable experiences we've had.
I am especially blessed to have been witness to so many beautiful moments with so many people in this industry. Your children have shown and taught me so much. I always refer to them as "my kids". I've felt your heartache and sorrow, but I have been so amazed by your strength and resilience. You have been a part of 3 decades of my life....

I would be remiss if I didn't say a much deserved THANK YOU to my peeps in HUMBOLDT!! To my friends and family who were there when I started..... you had faith in me and I will never forget that. I chose to work in Eureka to meet others, and I'll never regret it. I got to work with some of the very best hairstylists in the area, in my opinion. I was barely 18yrs old and what life lessons I learned from such great folks from all walks of life!

I think this profession is a rarity. I leave the salon daily being more appreciated than most feel after a days work. I have worked with women in Ukiah that I will admire and appreciate forever 💜 Last but not least,
I am so very proud of being a woman owned business! I have truly made a dream of mine come true, but not without the unwavering support of my husband Erik and my boy, Gavin Dean. They are my biggest fans. ♥️

In light of the continued Shelter in Place mandate, we will continue to be closed until April 30th. We here at the salon are missing all of your wonderful conversation and laughter, it is truly a tough time in our community. Although we cannot engage in what I would say is a cathartic ritual for both stylist and client, we here are thinking of each and everyone of you and your health. We patiently look foward to once again opening our doors to our much appreciated public....
