💕 Something very meaningful I’m hoping to bring to Renew Beauty & Body.

I recently registered Renew Beauty & Body as a potential host location for a HerScan Breast Cancer Ultrasound Screening event.

This is especially close to my heart and would be in honor of all the women and families who have been affected by breast cancer, especially my former mother-in-law. 💗

While nothing is guaranteed yet, I truly hope we are selected. Having another breast health screening resource available locally could help many women in our community who are looking for additional options and greater access to screening.

My vision for Renew Beauty & Body has always been about more than beauty. I want to create a place centered around women’s wellness, education, support, and access to helpful resources.

I’ll share more if Renew Beauty & Body is selected as a host location. Fingers crossed that we can bring this opportunity to Buchanan! 🎀

With nearly 30 years in the massage and beauty industry, I’m excited to bring my experience together into one space focused on helping you look good, feel better and live renewed.

Self-care isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity.

I run into this ALL the time in my practice, and this is such an important message. 🙌

Deep tissue massage does not mean pushing as hard as possible.

There’s also another piece that I talk about with my guests: your ability to relax and allow your body to receive the treatment.

Sometimes we mentally brace for pressure before it even happens. When you’re anticipating pain, holding your breath, or tightening your muscles against the therapist, your body may actually resist the work.

The more you’re able to breathe, relax, and feel safe with the pressure being used, the more receptive your muscles can be to the treatment.

A skilled massage therapist isn’t trying to see how much pressure you can tolerate. We’re working with your body — finding the right depth, technique, and pressure to get results without making your body fight against us.

Deep tissue = precision, not punishment. 💆‍♀️

And communication is always welcome. If something feels too intense, or you notice yourself tensing up, tell your therapist. Sometimes backing off the pressure actually allows us to accomplish more.

One of the most common misconceptions clients bring into a session is that deep tissue means as much pressure as possible.

Real deep tissue work is about accessing specific layers of muscle with the right technique, not just pushing harder. The therapists who understand this protect their bodies, get better results, and have clients who actually feel better the next day instead of just sore.

🌿 Licensed Counselor/Therapist — private room rental for an independently operated counseling practice.

🩺 Medical Professional / Wellness Provider — I would also love to connect with a Michigan-licensed physician or appropriately licensed medical practitioner interested in independently offering medical wellness services, potentially including IV hydration/vitamin therapy and medically appropriate peptide therapies, within a collaborative wellness setting.

Medical services would remain under the medical provider’s independent practice, licensing, protocols and professional oversight.
