I built Haunted Harbor as an eight-shade color story because this is what I saw when I put these colors together.

But you don't have to see what I see. 🖤

That's one of the things I've always loved most about single eyeshadows.

Take Sea Smoke and Blackwater.
Add a shade from Perfect Storm.
Pull out an old Devinah favorite you've had for years.
Rearrange everything tomorrow because suddenly you see something completely different.

There isn't one finished palette telling you what belongs together.

There are just colors... and whatever you decide to make with them.

I make the colors. You decide what they become.
That's really the heart of Devinah.

I genuinely don't know if I'm more in love with the shadows or the storyline I wrote for them 🖤⚓

Because somewhere along the way, Haunted Harbor stopped feeling like eight eyeshadows I was making in the studio... and started feeling like a tiny horror movie I was directing 😂🎬🌊

I gave you fog rolling into the harbor.
A lantern burning on the shallows.
Black water.
A chain disappearing into the depths.
A strange glow sinking beneath the surface.
A stain along the shoreline.
Water that started moving when it absolutely should not have been moving.

And then...

Something Below.

I picked the sounds. I built every little scene. I whispered “we just shouldn't have looked.” I had us following terrible decisions deeper and deeper into the water until apparently we were diving down there with a flashlight like complete lunatics 😂

Haunted Harbor really had me thinking I should've been a horror director instead.

But then I look at the actual shadows...
and THIS is why I make eyeshadow.

The icy steel-blue. The eerie purples. The tarnished, murky shifts. The rust-stained depths. That almost electric green waiting at the very end.

Eight shades pulled from the world we've been wandering through together.

The fog became Sea Smoke.
The light on the shoreline became Last Lantern.
The darkness beneath us became Blackwater.

The stain left along the shoreline became Rust Tide.

This is Haunted Harbor 🖤⚓

I didn't want this collection to feel like eight eyeshadows that happened to look good together. I wanted every shade to feel like a piece of the same place. Like we could take the fog, the black water, the rust, the strange light, and everything we probably should have left beneath the surface... and bring it back with us.

And now, seeing all eight together for the first time, this is the color story I had in my head all along.

The final shade of Haunted Harbor shifts through an almost electric green with flashes of pink, teal and blue - a color that looks just as strange and beautiful as whatever we just saw moving beneath that water.
