Y'all... Don't laugh. But quickly responded and fixed it in under an hour. I'm highly shocked. Social media works sometimes.

Anyway, sorry for freaking y'all out via text message this morning. We good.

I've reached out to majority of you. Thanks for your understanding because my level of anger is beyond comprehension at this point. I literally have no words for waiting months to approve repairs for a fire and then when it's time to start ripping up floors, they tell me I have 3 days to move back in and that we will just need to endure the construction. Basically, move 3 adults, one toddler and 2 one hundred pound dogs into a hallway and garage to live. Then had the nerve to say "we can set up a temporary kitchen in the garage or laundry room". I can't make this s**t up. The truth is, my adjuster messed up big time on approving sub contractors that overcharged and now she is covering her ass. The cleaners charged ... $65k to wipe down walls and wash clothes and furniture. And she paid it..... I joke you not. $65k for 25k worth of clothes and furniture. So if any one is looking into a new stream of income, you might want to check out fire restoration services. But now, I somehow need to figure out how to live in a hallway or a garage or pay out of pocket. Can I afford it? Sure, but the possibility of not getting reimbursed is not sitting right with me. Especially considering I haven't been reimbursed for the appliances purchased 2 months ago. Even my contractor is annoyed with the adjuster and hinted that she must be new. Soooooo, looks Like I'm looking for a new home and auto policies. Crazy to fumble a bag like this... I got 4 cars with full coverage on that policy and extra add-ons to my homeowners. Either way, I can't work with this level of stress. Y'all don't need a stressed and angry loctician your head. Lol. Sorry.

Let me calm down a bit and I'll revisit my options.

In order to create bright vivid colors, hair has to be lighten multiple times... This process is already damaging to loose hair but is especially damaging to locs. Sometimes even depositing color can require repair because so many smoothing / conditioning agents are used.

This is true for 100% human hair loc extensions like seen here and for the hair that grows directly out your scalp.

Id rather damage a loc Extension than my real hair in the pursuit of bright colors.

Side bar: if you do want to achieve this type of color with your real hair, I implore you to get assistance from a licensed professional with texture hair experience.

My inbox is insane right now and unfortunately I've reached a point in my Academic and professional careers where I cannot continue to juggle everything. I run primarily by myself with some help but I'm the sole entity behind and many of you don't even know I have 5 natural hair and body product lines which I formulated and also make BY hand...just like the loc extensions. I have good problems where the demand is exceeding what I can physically do. So that means I need help but due to being burned multiple times while bringing in help, I have to be methodical in exposing my formulas to a private lab to make or even bringing in people to help make locs. Compound this with being a single parent and primary financial guardian of a toddler while facing unimaginable obstacles to finish up this PhD...I can't do it all. So when I encounter clients that aren't meshing with me or respect my policies or even pay...I gotta make changes.

I'm restructuring my businesses a smidge and due to an accumulation of unfortunate clientele experience, I will also be releasing some of you from my books. I know this my business page but if you've gotten your hair done in the last 3 years then you have met my assistant and social media manager. I'm so thankful to all my clients that have played and entertained Amethyst while getting their hair done. I really appreciate y'all helping me navigate motherhood because I dunno what I'm doing.. I appreciate you all that have had pep talks with me when I was overwhelmed with parenting and trying to do hair. I'm thankful for those that understood that the reties take longer when Ame is in the shop. I know it's a bit annoying but thanks for rocking with me. It means the world to me bc I really thought I was going to have to quit doing hair when I got pregnant... That's why I went back to school to finish my doctorate. That test read positive and I was enrolled the next month because I didn't think I could install locs while pregnant. Y'all proved me wrong. Y'all encouraged me to pump milk while retightening and everything. Y'all really been a girls girls girl and I appreciate that.

No lie.... I'm about to act a complete fool with this install.
