This month, our journey through the chakras moves from the roots to the heart. After a month focused on grounding and building a sturdy foundation, May is about the Divine Feminine—the art of being, receiving, and nurturing.

KĀNE — CREATION

In ancient Hawai’i, Kāne is the god or ancestor closely related to life and creation. He is represented by a vertical stone and the spring of water that gushes from the ground with ease, not force. Water is considered the source of all life, nourishment and rejuvenation.

For our full moon card pull, Kāne comes out when we have the opportunity to begin something new or to reset something in our lives to begin again. It comes when it’s time to look deeply with clarity over our life and especially in areas where we have felt diminished. This is a chance to recalibrate and tap into what we really want and need, as it asks us, “what feeds your spirit?”

Conversely, if an opportunity comes your way that feels like it takes life and energy from you, perhaps it’s something best to leave aside. When we do this, we are paving the way and prepping the garden for true alignment with our gifts to the world.
