Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, relaxing form of massage that helps the body’s lymphatic system get moving again while reinforcing immune function. When the lymphatic system is compromised, as in the presence of cancer or after it has been disrupted by surgery, it can slow to a near negligible pace. This is when swelling of the lymph passages occurs, known as LYMPHEDEMA, creating a painful, potentially debilitating condition. MLD mimics the pulse and rhythm of the lymphatic system itself and gets the vessels to respond as they should. Each stroke slightly moves the skin in the direction of the lymphatic flow to encourage the drainage of fluid and waste. It is exactly that precise quality of lymph massage that makes it work. Healthy people are encouraged to have a Lymph Massage at the change of the seasons to detoxify and rejuvenate.

As of December 31. 2025 I will be closing my practice. Due to my brother's unexpected passing in October I have been spending much of my time in Virginia Beach helping my Mother adjust to this loss and figuring out a path forward. Due to circumstances, this will take as long as it takes, and I am blessed to be able to help my Mom at this point in her life. As much as I love serving my clients, my family is my first priority. It has been my honor to walk alongside you, my clients, on your health journey.
I wish you blessings and peace.
COVID-19 Update...
Per Executive Order Fifty-three, “massage parlors are closed from March 23 – April 23, 2020. **(Extended to May 14, 2020.)** Upon clarification from the Deputy Secretary of Commerce, nothing in the order shall limit the provision of health care and medical care services. Since the majority of my clients are seeking medical treatment, my operations are not limited by this order.
However, as a therapist, who must place the safety, health and well-being of my clients above all, coupled with the fact that we just do not know enough about the transmission and contagion of this virus at this point, I feel that I must close my practice effective immediately until such a time that we can safely resume.
Please stay safe and be well. If you are a current client and need any guidance toward helping your Lymphedema while at home, please email or text me. I will happily help as I am able.
I hope to see you all again as soon as we are able. Stay safe and be well my friends.
Effective immediately, I am closed until we are given the all clear to begin practicing again. Please stay safe and be well. If you are a current client and need any guidance toward helping your Lymphedema while at home, please email or text me. I will happily help as I am able
Per Governor Northam - Executive Order Fifty-Three:
This order goes into effect at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 and will remain in place until 11:59 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
Recreation and Entertainment Businesses
The following recreation and entertainment businesses are considered non-essential and must close to the public beginning at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2020:
• Beauty salons, barber shops, spas, massage parlors, tanning salons, tattoo shops, and any other location where personal care or personal grooming services are performed that would not allow compliance with social distancing guidelines to remain six feet apart;
I do take exception to being called a massage parlor, and have contacted the Governor's Office over this derogatory and pejorative language. Regardless of the woeful ignorance of the terminology, I will adhere, and must now close my office for the safety and well being of my clients, myself and the general public.
I hope to see you all again as soon as we are able. Stay safe and well my friends. 💕🙏
Some big news and big changes happening this year. After 10 years in the same Virginia Beach location, I was notified that the office in which I have loved serving my clients will be expanding, converting my office over for dental use. Beginning March 2, 2020, I will begin seeing clients within the Tranquil Flame Bodyworks office located at 3061 Brickhouse Court, Suite 103, Virginia Beach, VA 23452 - less than 5 miles from where I am currently located.
As you may be aware, for the past two years I have been commuting between Virginia Beach and Roanoke and had opened an office in Roanoke last Summer. With this change now at my Virginia Beach location, I have made the decision that it is time to spend more time in Roanoke, both to develop my office there, but more importantly, to have time with my husband as well. After losing my Father in December, I have been more keenly aware that I am missing time with Keith.
So, I will spend one week per month at my Virginia Beach location, and then be in Roanoke for three weeks. As of now, my Virginia Beach weeks are:
March 2 – 6
March 30 – April 3
April 27 – May 1
I will provide dates beyond these once I see that this new schedule is working out. Due to my more limited availability, I hope you book early so that I am able to see you and provide service. I look forward to continuing my relationship with you.
