✨ I know so many of you have seen the recent photo of Tommy and I and have been reaching out wondering what’s going on… and I’ve been trying to find the words.
My sweet Tommy struggled with his mental health for a long time. He fought battles that so many people carry quietly, and it was something our family knew all too well. On Friday the 22nd, police were called to his home because he was in crisis. What happened next is still under investigation, but what I know is that when officers arrived, Tommy was on his porch — and four of them opened fire. They believed he had a weapon. And just like that, he was gone.
Some officers have been placed on administrative leave. Beyond that, we don’t have answers yet. We are waiting, like families do, for the truth to find its way to us.
What I do know is that Tommy was loved. And that his son Nathan — who turns 11 in July — is going to need so much love surrounding him as he grows up without his dad. Please hold that baby in your hearts.
Thank you from the very bottom of mine for every message, every prayer, every check-in. I feel all of it and I need all of it right now.
