Hello all from the sunbow outside! Just wanted to give a quick update. Had my second big surgery/ intestinal scramble on April 6th. Surgery had some complications and a two hour surgery turned into a five hour surgery. In turn, my insides would protest, thus creating a longer recovery as well. (Two different stays in the hospital!) The good news is that everything was accomplished that they set out to do. Just had my post op appointment and everything is looking good. Timeline is still up in the air; healing slowly, but surely. 🐢 Missing you all and sending my love! ❤️What’s been going on with you? Hope you are enjoying the tiny glimpses of spring💫

Hello all 💫 We made it to daylight savings, which is no easy feat! Thought I'd give a quick health update as its been awhile. My next big surgery is on the books for April 6th. This was a surgery that I always knew that was in my future, but was originally planned for December. Then the Covid surge filled the hospitals and it was postponed to January. When January came around that Omicron surge postponed it again to February. Then when February rolled around and Omicron really hit it's stride, all non-life saving surgeries were put on hold indefinitely. (This included friends dealing with cancer! So the pandemic's effect reaches farther than a lot of folks realize) You can see how it's been virtually impossible to plan or even speculate about planning. So getting this date on the books is massive. I never imagined that I would be out of the salon this long and I really do miss you all. Thank you to those who have checked in from time to time. I miss hearing about your lives! And like the single, scrawny daffodil that has sprouted in my front yard, I see signs of hope all around. That Spring equinox is just around the corner. In the meantime, I'm going to continue to hurry up and wait. 💛💛💛

Hello friends! How are you? Quick update. Had my second infusion this week, so moving along as planned. After the fourth infusion is when they typically assess whether this treatment is working. Enjoying the fall colors of the changing leaves, but missing all of your faces! Hope you are all happy and healthy. 🎃💛🧡🤎👻

Hello all! I had my post op appointment with my surgeon this week and everything is looking good. I’m healing a little bit on the slow side, because I take an immunosuppressant now as well as being very ill before the surgery, vs a healthy person healing from a major surgery. I got the green light to start the Remicade infusions in about 10 days and hopefully I can get this Crohn’s into remission! I’ll meet with the surgeon again in two months to discuss another possible surgery in the future. I miss seeing you all and hearing about your lives! How are YOU? Please keep in touch and much love! 💜
