When you enter the beauty industry, there is so much knowledge crammed into your head.
Sanitation, haircutting, skin diseases, sanitation, hair coloring, facials, sanitation, nail care, perms, electrical (minimally but yes its true) and did i mention sanitation??

What they dont teach is how close clients become to you.
Don't get me wrong, we are told clients are the bread and butter of out industry. Without clients, we have no jobs. They literally are the only thing that keep us moving.
What pays our bills, feeds our families, and for some pay our employees.
Clients are everything.
Clients become so much like family to us, we share memories with them. We share traumas, and exciting news!
We share so much more than we mean to because the chair they sit in to see us becomes a safe space. For them and for us.

I am truly grateful for the clients who have sat in my chair. No matter if it was for only one appointment, or if they still do today, 12 years into my career.
