Connect: College Ministry

We want every student to connect with God and to connect with others. College is a transitional season of life; transitioning from high school to college (or directly to the work force), and then transitioning again from college to the working world. We strive to help students become self-sustaining, mature Christians. Connect has 3 main goals:

1. To offer an environment where students grow spiritually and deepen their relationship with the Lord
2. To provide opportunities for students to stop merely attending church and to start being the church
3. To help create consistency in students’ lives during an inconsistent season of life

There are nine core values that make up the DNA of Connect. They are both descriptive and prescriptive of what Connect is as a ministry.

1. Consistency matters
2. Community service is being the hands and feet of Christ
3. Missions is the heartbeat of God
4. Love and accept people where they are, not where you think they should be
5. If you are not growing, then you are dying
6. A person’s worth & identity are given from God
7. True faith takes action
8. Decisions made today determine the direction for tomorrow
9. To obey is better than sacrifice
