Hi everyone,

This is gonna be a long post. I am announcing that at the end of august, I will be stepping away from my office space in vancouver. Any gift certificates can be used in that time, or we can figure out other arrangements.

I’ve been working as an independent esthetician for the last 3 years, and I have loved almost every moment of it! Learning how to start a business from scratch has been one of the hardest, yet most rewarding processes i’ve ever gone through. Making mistakes, learning from them, and continuing to grow. Working with others and being their “skin detective” makes my heart so unbelievably happy. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come with its own challenges.

That being said, I unfortunately have a habit of neglecting my own selfcare. (happens to the best of us, right?) When I lost my dad last february, I took a month off then I told myself to get right back into work, and stay busy. I wanted to constantly have a distraction to get away from the grief i was feeling. Well, the thing with grief is it doesn’t go away, it just patiently waits until you have a quiet moment and bam, it hits you. Losing him meant losing not only my dad, but a massive part of my support system. My best friend, my cheerleader, my rock, was gone. Not only gone, but left me with a hell of a lot of responsibility i definitely wasn’t ready for. (but who is?)

I threw myself into working, and i think i was burnt out a while ago, so i’m probably a charcoal briquette by now. This was an incredibly hard decision for me to make, but i’ve decided to take a step back, and really just take sometime to breathe, grieve, and be able to get back to 100%. I’m not sure when I’ll be back or in what capacity, but you’ll be the first to know when i do.

Now this doesn’t mean the incessant skincare advice goes away, i’m always here for any questions, concerns, or just to chit chat.🩷
