Stretching is good.
Foam rolling is good.
Chiropractic care is good.
Mobility work is good.

But good doesn’t always mean right for what YOUR body needs right now.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to recovery.

Sometimes the answer isn’t doing more of the same thing harder or more often. Sometimes you need a different approach and all of these tools can work incredibly well together when they’re being used for the right reason.

So if you’ve stretched it, rolled it, adjusted it, rested it… and that same tightness, restriction, or discomfort keeps showing back up?

🎵 It’s my turn now. 😏

And I don’t mean just “go get a massage.”

Find a massage therapist who understands your sport, how your body moves, the demands you place on it, and the results you’re trying to achieve.

Because your recovery should be just as specific as your training.

If you’ve tried all the things and you’re still not getting the result you want, it may be time to try something different.

DM me RECOVERY and let’s talk about what your body actually needs.

I put my body to work every day.

I train it.
I run with it.
I lift with it.
And then I turn around and use it to take care of other people’s bodies.

So when I tell athletes that consistency in recovery matters, I’m not just saying it as a massage therapist.

I live it.

Because a body that is constantly being asked to GIVE without enough opportunity to recover eventually starts operating in a deficit.

And you can’t keep demanding more strength, more speed, more endurance, better movement and bigger PRs from a body that never gets the chance to catch up.

When my body starts feeling heavy, tight, sluggish or like it just isn’t performing the way I know it can…

I already know what’s probably missing.

Recovery.

So I prioritize it.

Not because I’m hurt.
Not because I can’t train.

Because I want to KEEP training at a high level.

Athletes, your training program may not need more work.

It may need the piece that allows all that work to actually pay off.

Train hard. Recover intentionally. Perform better.

If recovery is the missing piece in your training regimen, let’s change that.

3 things I wish every athlete knew about massage:

1️⃣ It should help you move better, not just feel good for a day.

Think better range of motion, fewer restrictions, and less compensation during training.

2️⃣ When you recover matters just as much as how you recover.

The best time for massage depends on where you are in your training cycle, competition schedule, and what your body is being asked to do next.

3️⃣ Your recovery should match your sport, your training, and your goals.

A runner, CrossFit athlete, powerlifter, and fighter don’t use their bodies the same way, so their recovery shouldn’t look the same either.

Because if you’re chasing more mobility, a faster recovery, a PR, podium, or simply the ability to keep training consistently…

your massage should be working toward that too.

If you are an athlete in the Tyler, TX or surrounding area DM “Next Level”and let’s discuss how massage can get you there!

Feeling better on the table is great.

But I’m paying attention to what happens when you get OFF of it.

Can you stand up easier?
Walk with less hesitation?
Move with more freedom?
Do you notice less guarding, less discomfort, more confidence in your body?

Today, a client who normally struggles to walk comfortably down my hallway stood up, walked to the front of the office with ease, then turned around almost shocked by what his body was able to do.

Those are the wins I’m after.

At RPM Therapy, massage isn’t just about chasing the spot that hurts.

It’s about understanding what your body is doing, why it may be protecting or compensating, and choosing the work that helps create better movement.

Because the real result isn’t how you feel for the hour you’re on my table.

It’s what your body is able to do when you leave it.

Recover Faster. Perform Better.

I’ve taken a LOT of CE courses over the years… and I can genuinely say I had never experienced one like this.

This isn’t the kind of CE where you sit in a chair, listen to someone teach, check the box for your hours, and go home wondering how you’re actually supposed to use what you learned.

You PRACTICE it.

You have instructors and teaching assistants walking around while you work, correcting you, guiding you, answering questions in real time, and making sure you actually understand what you’re doing.

And when the weekend is over, the support doesn’t disappear.

That may be one of my favorite parts.

Monique Deuroen and the team at Mind Body Business Mentors aren’t just teaching Somatic Massage. They’re building a community of massage therapists who continue supporting one another after the CE is over.

Because of how this training is structured, you can go back to work and confidently begin integrating what you learned into the modality you ALREADY use.

Sports massage.
Deep tissue.
Relaxation.
Clinical work.
Whatever your specialty is.

You don’t have to completely change the way you practice. You learn how to make what you already do even more effective.

After experiencing this work myself, I am SO excited that it’s coming to Tyler.

East Texas needs more therapists who understand this work.

And yes… selfishly, I also need some of y’all to take this because I would really like to have a few local therapists I can go to when I need this work too. 😂

Ask me where the massage table should go and suddenly I need adult supervision. 😂

Ask me what your body needs to perform better in your sport? That’s the kind of no-brainer I can break down all day.

My job isn’t just to ask, “Where does it hurt?” and have you hop on the table.

I need to know your sport.
How your body moves in that sport.
What muscles and movement patterns you rely on.
Where you compensate.
Where you’re losing power, mobility, stability, speed or control.
What hurts.
What feels weak.
And most importantly, what you’re trying to accomplish.

By the time we’ve worked together consistently, I probably know your movement habits like someone who has been personally assigned custody of your most valuable piece of equipment. 😂

Because your body IS the equipment.

My goal isn’t to give you temporary relief every time you start “feeling it.”

It’s to help you recover intentionally so you can train better, move better, chase new PRs, compete for medals and create more wins through recovery.

That’s exactly what my Athlete Ambassadors are doing.

They’ve committed to making recovery part of their training instead of waiting until something hurts, and we’re able to track changes, address patterns early and keep working toward the goals that matter in their sport.

Consistency matters.

Recovery works best when it’s planned, intentional and built into your training.

If you’re an athlete in Tyler, TX or the surrounding East Texas area and that kind of approach feels like a no-brainer for your goals, DM me AMBASSADOR and let’s see if you’re a fit for the RPM Athlete Ambassador Program.

Maybe it’s not that your massage “isn’t working.”

Maybe it’s just the wrong kind of massage for the results you want.

Relaxation massage is great for exactly what it’s designed to do: help you relax, reduce stress, and downshift.

But if you’re training for better performance, your goals may be different.

More range of motion. Better movement. Fewer compensation patterns. Improved recovery. A body that can keep up with what you’re asking it to do.

At Recovery & Performance Massage, we don’t just know sports massage. We’re athletes too.

We understand training, competition, PRs, and why your recovery needs to be as intentional as your workouts.

Your sessions are built around your sport, your movement, your training, and your goals.

Because athletes don’t just need massage.

They need recovery with a purpose.

And if that’s what you’ve been missing…

🎶 I think you need a new one. 😉

You’re training for the PR.
The podium.
The next level.

But what if the thing slowing you down isn’t your training?

It’s your lack of recovery.

You wouldn’t expect your body to perform at 100% after getting no sleep all week.

Yet athletes train hard day after day and expect their bodies to keep producing without giving them enough opportunity to recover.

Training creates the demand.

Recovery is where your body catches up to it.

It’s where you repair, restore, adapt, and prepare to do it again.

Skip that part consistently and eventually you’re asking a tired body to keep producing more.

More fatigue. More compensation. More nagging issues. Less progress.

Your competition is training hard too.

The advantage may be in how well you recover from it.

If you’re a competitive athlete in Tyler, TX or the surrounding area and recovery isn’t currently part of your strategy, DM me RECOVERY.

Let’s talk about what your training could look like when your body finally has the support to keep up with your goals.

Recover Faster. Perform Better.

08/28/2026

Your training is hectic.

Heavy lifts. Fast reps. Long runs. Hard practices. Constantly asking your body for MORE.

But more isn’t always what your body needs.

Sometimes, the thing that helps you keep pushing forward is intentionally slowing down.

That’s what consistent recovery gives you.

When we slow things down on the table, I can pay attention to how your body is responding to the demands of your sport. Where you’re holding tension. Where movement is becoming restricted. Where your body may be compensating just to keep up.

And instead of waiting until something hurts enough to affect your training, we work to keep your body moving well along the way.

So you can recover faster between sessions.
Move with more freedom.
Stay consistent in your training.
And show up ready when it’s time to compete.

Slowing down isn’t the opposite of training hard.
It’s part of being able to keep training hard.

My Athlete Ambassadors understand that.

They don’t wait until their body forces them to slow down.

They put recovery on the schedule because they have somewhere they’re trying to go.
