Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865—the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

It is a day of remembrance, reflection, resilience, and celebration. A reminder of how far we’ve come, while recognizing the work that still remains.

As a Black-owned business, Juneteenth holds special meaning. It’s a time to honor those who came before us, celebrate the freedom to create and build, and support the communities around us.

That’s why we’re taking time this month not only to educate, but also to celebrate through our Juneteenth promotion and by encouraging support for Black-owned businesses everywhere.
