Walk with me! Walking and talking coaching sessions are the main way I work with my clients.
✅ Spending time in nature
✅ Moving your body
✅ Working with a board-certified wellness coach to manage your health on your own terms
I have some room in my schedule for new clients and this is the perfect time of year to be outside in DC where we have miles and miles of beautiful trails directly in the city.

When I’m not walking and talking with clients, I love to walk and talk with my family. This morning I was lucky to get Michael and Kuma to join me in DC’s beautiful Rock Creek Park.

Starting off the week right with a Monday morning date: (no mask on the mat!) followed by Starbucks followed by breakfast at Tatte. ❤️🧘♀️☕️🥐

When I woke up shocked and confused at 8:30 am today after having gone to sleep at 10:30 pm, I said to Michael “This is like a normal person sleeping until noon!”
Sleep is one of the most important gifts you can give yourself. I have felt that today, as I’ve bounced joyfully through my day, energized, refreshed, and full of positivity.
If you make time for sleep, you’ll be amazed how much more meaningful and productive your waking hours will be.

Made the most of this gorgeous day, which also included hours sitting on the deck reading the paper and ***almost*** finishing the crossword.

Back on my mat and it felt amazing! Michael and I took a 6:30am class today...not my preferred work out time...but we got ourselves there, and for me, I couldn’t feel more energized now, a few hours later.
I’m pretty sure my last in-studio class was March 12, 2020. I remember feeling like I “shouldn’t” be there, but I was such a hot-yoga-addict that I wanted to squeeze in that one last class, anticipating the world shutting down. I remember kind of holding my breath when I passed other people in the studio (this was pre-mask!) and rushing outside at the end.
Throughout the year I’ve done lots of zoom yoga classes. Many of them in my bathroom with a space heater. But it never felt the same to me. The energy of the room was missing. The intense heat wasn’t the same. I longed for the personal call outs from the instructors. So, in the last couple of months I’ve been tied to my peloton bike and strength classes, I’ve dusted off my running shoes and logged in lots miles...many while I trailed behind the speedier
But, for me, there is no high, no sweat, no workout like the one I get from hot yoga. I forgot how intensely hard it is. My body was shaking this morning, and I needed to tone down my ego and admit I wasn’t as strong as a year ago. Working out in a mask was hard, but for me it was worth it.
Hot yoga is definitely not for everyone. A simple walk in nature can be just as invigorating! Vaccinated peeps: what are you excited to get back to that gives you joy and energy? Or are you ready to try something new?
And...hey and I’m coming to you too!! 🧘♀️🧘🧘♂️☮️☮️☮️🙏🙏🙏

Thank you Wellness Program, AhealthyU, for inviting Isabel and me to teach a cooking class to an amazing group of participants.
We covered lots of topics with this one:
✅Batch cooking—what it is and a delicious, easy recipe
✅Plant-based cooking
✅ 6-minute pan seared salmon
✅Take your child to work day
The highlight for me was working with my 11-year old to demonstrate how cooking with your children can make them less picky and more confident, and brings joy both to home cooking and parenting.
AU faculty and staff are so lucky to have their own in-house wellness program. This is something every organization and company should aspire to offer their employees.
