Juicy Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce: Restaurant-Quality Dinner in 30 Minutes

Imagine a weeknight that feels like a celebration. On your plate: a perfectly cooked, golden-crusted, tender-pink steak resting in a silky, garlicky sauce so rich and flavorful you’ll want to soak up every last drop. This is your 30-minute ticket to a restaurant-quality meal right at home.

Ingredients

For the Perfect Steak:

2 boneless ribeye or New York strip steaks, 1 to 1.5 inches thick (10-12 oz each)

2 tbsp high-heat oil (avocado, grapeseed, or vegetable)

2 tbsp unsalted butter

3-4 fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs

2 garlic cloves, smashed

Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided

6-8 large garlic cloves, finely minced

½ cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Dijon mustard

Salt and white pepper to taste

2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

How to Make It

Sear the Steak: Pat steaks dry, season with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a heavy skillet, sear steaks 3-5 minutes per side, adding butter, herbs, and smashed garlic. Baste and then let rest 10 minutes.

Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same pan, melt 2 tbsp butter and cook minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add beef broth, scraping up browned bits. Stir in cream and Dijon mustard, simmer 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Whisk in Parmesan and remaining butter. Season with salt, white pepper, and parsley.

Serve: Slice the steak against the grain, drizzle with garlic sauce, and enjoy.

Serve with roasted potatoes, sautéed vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete, mouthwatering meal.
