We’re excited to share that Khloe-Rose will be participating in the Girls Going Global Ghana100 initiative, an international youth leadership and cultural exchange experience that has been formally recognized by the Office of the President of Ghana. 🇬🇭

As a young entrepreneur, student innovator, and future cosmetic chemist, this opportunity represents so much more than travel. It’s an opportunity to explore the intersections of culture, leadership, STEAM, and global innovation alongside nearly 100 young Black girls from across the United States.

What began as a third-grade science experiment has continued to grow into conversations around representation in beauty science, access to innovation pathways, and the importance of seeing Black girls reflected not only as consumers of beauty, but as future formulators, scientists, and founders.

Through this experience, Khloe-Rose will continue exploring the power of beauty as science, culture, and community while connecting with the African diaspora in meaningful ways.

GBIE didn’t start with millions in funding or a corporate sponsor. It started with a deep belief: Black girls deserve the world, even if they don’t believe.

That belief, and whole lot of faith, led me to invest the first $10,000 into launching the Global Beauty & Innovation Exchange (GBIE), a program at the intersection of science, beauty, and global leadership.

Now, we’re going further. GBIE is proud to be a contributing partner in the Fill-A-Plane: Ghana 100 Project, led by - taking 100 girls to Ghana in Summer 2026.

Our students will explore careers in STEAM, dive into beauty innovation, diplomacy, confidence, curiosity, and connection.

We’ve already raised 20% of our $50,000 goal.

Khloe-Rose’s is the brainchild of then 9 year-old aspiring Chemical Engineer, Khloe-Rose Owens, who was hoping to make wash-day less painful for her, and less time consuming for her mom.

After enrolling in her school’s fair, hoping to answer the question, “what natural products best help detangle my hair, based on my hair type, 4c?” She used the scientific method to engineer the perfect plant and fruit-based detangling hair treatment that has proven to make wash-day less stressful for kinky, curly, and coily girls!
